Well I do use mosaic pins if customers request them but no where near as mechanical attachment as Loveless bolts or Corby bolts. I like to make a knife that is bomb proof so love the Loveless bolts for the ultimate strength 👍
@@BenOrford Ok.. just don't look as good. Never heard of knife scales coming off where mosaic pins have been used though..Just my humble opinion though , your knives are still cool....
@@Elfin4 well they will stop shearing forces but not lifting force if the scales move etc. I do like certain ones but they can often be a little over the top. Always been a loveless fan the fact that you can assemble it with no glue. You only really need the epoxy for the waterproof seal rather than actually holding the handle together. But as you say it’s personal preference at the end of the day. Many thanks for the comment cheers Ben
Arguably one of the best explanations, no bs straightforward! Thanks man!

Your videos are a huge blessing. Thank you. Doing up my first scales tomorrow.
Fantastic glad they help. Good luck with the glue up.
Remember to have a few dry runs first time and you will be fine 👍

Great Video 👍🏻👌🏻
Love your tutorials.
Great tips. Thanks keep up the great content.
I wouldn't have thought of wd40. Nice tip. Thanks!
Another entertaining and useful teaching video. I look forward to theseWIP videos. Thank you.
Just shows the amount of time, effort and care that goes into a single knife. Brilliant. A question do you rough up the tang in any way before gluing?
Really good to see how you work. Thanks for all the advice on this and previous WIPs etc.
Thanks for the video, Ben!!! Hoping to get one of those Woodlanders in the future!
Another good informative video, I think your wee assembly screwdriver needs re-named to gluedriver :-)
WD-40 huh?! Brilliant!! Thanks for sharing!
Nice knife spoilt with those loveless bolts. Let's see some nice mosaic pins please, these are handmade knifes and not cheap Chinese knock offs.
