Lol I've heard a lot of people saying how underrated ONEWE is, but your rant was to a whole new level and is so cathartic haha. I'm fairly new to the kpop sphere, (about 7 months in now) and I have given quite a bit of thought to the subject of popularity. ONEUS was my first K-pop band, and is still by far my ult k-pop group. Thanks to them I found ONEWE, and since my personal music tastes just eat up real instruments and amazing vocals, stanning ONEWE was a no-brainer and I am so thankful to know about them and have them as my ult k-band. But I have mixed feelings about wishing popularity for both groups. Personally, I wish RECOGNITION for these groups, but not necessarily 'popularity'. Popularity comes with pros and cons, and I don't want these men to be hurt by the cons of fame. I also come from the perspective of my other favorite musical artist of all time, Twenty One Pilots. They are from my hometown, so I discovered them on the local radio before they became a household name, but they had been making deeply impactful music for 8 years before reaching 'popularity'. We as fans (and as people) need to remember the value of time, that nothing truly great is made in a short amount of time. It is alright if they are not famous in the present moment, because their music is the kind which is eternal, and does not lose its potency. Let us, for now, just recognize the value and quality of ONEWE's music which they have been building over time, and if the day comes when they get their 'big break', then they will be all the more respected for their discography as a whole and not just be a one-hit wonder.
Thank you for reacting to more Onewe! It's lovely to see people appreciate their amazing skills. I definitely recommend checking out their entire new mini album, Planet Nine: Voyager! Each member worked to compose one of the songs on it, and the result is a variety of songs that feel very distinct but still flow nicely. As for whether Onewe has any bad songs-I'm definitely biased, but I would say not! I'll admit that there are some songs of theirs that are not quite to my personal taste, but even those songs I recognize as still being masterful in many ways. And I 100% agree that Onewe grabs you by the emotions with every single song they have. If you want to check out more Onewe, I recommend Cosmos, Reminisce About All, Ring on My Ears, and their cover of Latata. They also have a vocally stunning acoustic collab with AleXa on her song Never Let You Go! You asked about the Universe_ music video; each member was shown with someone representing a loved one: a girlfriend, a friend, a mother, a grandmother, and a pet. I think it showed beautifully how strong and meaningful those connections can be, and it was lovely to see equal weight given to different types of love beyond just romantic love.
Great to see you react to ONEWE again! 😃 We all cried when seeing that MV. You're not the only one. 😂 Yong Hoon' voice must have been kissed by an angel to sing like this. He is my favorite vocalist in the whole kpop world. I am so so glad that the other four recruited him into this band.
thank you for onewe reactions so much! also the realization in ur eyes that yonghoon is singing high note in "star" is priceless I love both of these songs so much actually I love all of their songs but it is onewe, no surprise universe_ is both heartwarming and heartbreaking star is so beautiful I really would love to see more reactions to them from u their older stuff maybe? also I'm kinda surprised that it takes that long to react to a guide to them (no pressure at all) u just keep saying "I will" and I wait (I'm binge watching ur onewe reactions and I don't look in advance what reactions there will be on the playlist and I think "next one is probably a guide" and it's not😭) I'll be waiting🙃💛 ollie 0094 has a good guide, tho it's kinda outdated it still is informative, and in my opinion it's the best one out there it's called "1 band, 5 members, many reasons to love them"
Loved the reaction! Harin: even though he's not trying to he still comes for us lol he's my bias, I really wish to hear him sing in a track one day :) I'm happy you enjoy their music!!
Space, stars and all that is really the perfect concept for them, because they already sound otherwordly.
Thanks for reacting to Onewe.
