14 and above lacks a physical sim slot. It may have one depending on where you live but I can tell you it’s not in the U.S
What was the difference in temp between the 3 phones , did any specific model feel warmer than the others

great testing, very useful video. Just wondering though, what refresh rates were the phones set to? I know they are all capable of both 60hz and 120hz, would love to know how having the different refresh rates selected would affect the battery life 👍
Apple has their dynamic refresh rate thing that switches the refresh reset of the display automatically. Low power mode caps the refresh rate at 60 while normal battery mode keeps it dynamic with a maximum of 120 hz.
Well done, you're the only one to do this comparison, however I would like to see one with the current software, now that most of the bugs have been ironed out.

Great video! I was planning to get one 15 pro, but I got quite worried after some review saying that the battery is garbish. As I am coming from the iphone 12 that has the worst battery in many years I think that 8h of use is more than enough for a normal user. Definitely I will take it! This phone is not for someone coming from a 14 pro or 13 pro, but it is a great upgrade for who is coming of 12 or older!

@@zeeshanzia7480same thing, here! Coming from a 12PM, the 15P battery whilst only on WiFi is STELLAR! Quiet a different story when using data (even with LTE), Wireless Apple Carplay and Google Maps :D
battery is indeed infamous not only in the 15 pro but also on the 14 pro (mine)
Iphone 12 pro was horrible, i had the 14 and 15 pro. The 15 pro is much better than the 14 pro battery wise. The 15 compared to 12 is night and day.

Face Time is a real battery killer, you will get at least 1-2 hrs less if you use face time a lot....but that's on any phone

I'd like to point out that this years model has a higher peak brightness, using more power, so I would question wether using the same brightness setting is a fair comparison. (Even thought the 15 pro won, you should take this into consideration).
The 14Pro has the same brightness. (2000nits)
That's only under really bright lights with auto-brightness turned on. When setting the brightness manually using the slider, they all have the same 1,000 nits.
What a load of rubbish, peak brightness only kicks in when very sunny outside

Still the regular pro models battery is meh considering how expensive they are
on 13 pro the brightness of the display was greater at the beginning, take a closer look
it is because it has a lower brightness power than the 15 pro and 14 pro
But are you testing with a new 13 and 14 pro? Else isnt the battery of both one and two year old already

I have a weird request. Since iOS 16 is still being signed, could you redo the test with the 13 and 14 Pros running iOS 16? After updating to iOS 17 my 14 Pro's battery life went to trash! I'm sure the older phones on iOS 16 will outlast the 15 Pro on iOS 17.
Hopefully battery life will get better with successive smaller iOS updates.

The old notch is the only reason I kept my iPhone SE for years. Dynamic island is not idea, but to me it's much better than the notch. I just can't accept the aesthetic, it literally looks like a bald head...
I used to hate the notch then the island came in. Now I love the notch.

how is the battery life on the 15 pro in real life holding up??
For me it's the same as the 13 Pro, but I have always on display turned on, so it's slightly better as the test shows, if you turn off the always on display, however remember these tests are done without SIM cards, so in real life you can expect 1-2 hrs less, depending on your usage@@akash.1920

I have 15 Pro, i use charging mode "just to 80%" and from 80 % to 20% it can do only 2 hours screen time :/ Any tips for higher screen time range?

@@lokeshrawat6129 i tried to take it back to the shop for a repair and after 1 day they told me just to not download the data from backup and start the iPhone like i have never had an iPhone. So now i am trying to use it like a new Apple user and after a few days i will know more about the battery.

15 Pro Max all day long, the HDR exposure is a problem on 14PM and generally you get much better & consistent photo's on 15 PM, it's also substantially lighter in real life

I don't understand this. I saw a battery test where the 15 Pro lasted less than the Samsung S23 and then another test where the 14 Pro lasted more than the Samsung S23. In this test, the 15 Pro is supremely better than the 14 Pro. So what is the truth? It's different in every test...
i got 15 pro and the battery drains so fast. at first i thought it was because the hotspot was turned on by default and i didnt know it. since it doesnt show any sign on the top screen like my 11 pro did but even when i caught it and turned it off and made all other adjustments, like turn off always on screen and its still draining so fast. even when im not using the phone and i look at the percentage throughout the day it drops significantly. all apps are closed too.
IOS 17.1.1 has sorted that out, Apps like Instagram & Uber eats were also the big problem initially
