I am absolutely mind blown by the XUV 3XO. This is such an excellent example of a brand taking a segment seriously to genuinely make an impact in sales. While the design is not attractive by most standards, it certainly has become a talking point and this choice of design language seems deliberate by Mahindra to get people to notice it and start taking about it, good or bad!
The priority given by Mahindra to crack good sales figures by pricing it so aggressively deserves every bit of appreciation. I am sure this strategy will gradually take XUV 3XO's monthly sales to around 8k, double it's present sales figures.
To be honest, this is what I was expecting from VW in their 2.0 project. Launch solid well rounded products and price them aggressively. That is how you disrupt a market which already has super successful products.

Thank you for your honest unbiased observations. As an enthusiastic driver, the biggest miss in XUV 3X0 is PADDLE SHIFTERS - unable to understand how can any manufacturer skip a basic requirement like Paddle shifters in Automatics??

Seen the car today at the showroom, looked very good & cabin feels very roomy. 3 people can sit very comfortably! Built quality is pretty good. Couldn’t get to take a test drive as they didn’t have a test drive vehicle! My budget is 20L and I found AX5L as VFM, comes till 17L on road.

I had already booked creta 2nd top varient which costs here 18.5 lacs on road. But i cancelled it and going to book 3xo top model which costs less than 16 lacs here thus saving more than 2.5 lacs. Primary reason being i require proper 5 seater car which no one offers in this segment plus small car less tax bracket also a good point to consider and we dont require much boot space whats offered is already enough for us.
So one can say those who want all the features of above segment cars in a small car will definetly go for its top model as it will save them good no of bucks. Plus the build qualtiy which no one offers at this price.

Creta is a good car with good space and it's looks are amazing.
Frankly 3xo looks ugly. My brezza zxi plus looks better than it alongwith reliability and long term value for money at just 14.5 lakhs on road. No frills for 15 years.

At 37, I can't agree more with your views 😌🤝
Design-wise, they have gone a bit overboard, I feel. Side-profile has a hint of punch (thanks to the descent of the cladding). Earlier 300 used to 'look' bigger & more macho.
Rest all is phenomenal - Torq converter, Width (for 3 passenger in the rear), wheelbase & then all those features.

Last year i bought slavia 1.0 AT.. it was a tough decision to drop XUV300 from the list owing to its AMT gearbox. I was ready to wait for its facelift, but showroom guy discouraged me. The outdated interior also failed to impress my better half. Half heartedly i went for slavia. XUV300 was league ahead in terms of power, build, safety and refinement. This sub 4m car weights 1.4 tonnes and stills feels punchy to drive. An amazing machine put down by Mahindra’s poor marketing. Happy to see the facelift version got a TC gearbox paired to 1.2 TGDI. I am in a dilemma now whether to trade in my slavia for this machine…!

It might not be very smooth or have some nvh...but being a nexon owners son from 1.5 years...i can confirm that my dad is very very happy with dynamics, steering response and high speed stability. If Tata provides ADAS and a Smooth engine...Nexon will become the undisputed king.

I love the design. The front looks good. Don't know what people are complaining about. Anything other than ordinary is always criticised. Verna was criticised, creta, XUV 700 as well. The inertia of a society towards change is seen easily by this simple example. It's a beautiful bold design and is nothing too extravagant as well. No wonder India never dared to have automobile clubs with great Mod versions of cars, with turning headlights, or extreme high or low. If such small variation in look makes people go crazy, it's hard for manufacturers and designers go crazy as well

Trust me after driving all previous cars and 10 year experience with than i can tell you very clearly in my opinion, Mahindra and TATA both are third class car Manufacturer. Though they are safe car but they will save you physically but will kill you mentally. R&D on these car so pathetic that you can never get these car on long journey with 100% mental peace. Indeed Mahindra engines are really very good and this is the reason people love old scorpio and XUV 300 but as they entered into tech savy cars they messed up everythings. Mx2 pro automatic is sure a no nonsense choice not just for the AT value at less than 10lacs but also the fact that it is not heavy on electronic components which are the Achilles heel for many manufacturers. The only punt is on the not so consistent and not so great after sales service. However all is not lost for NA engines from the Japanese. Peace of mind in ownership is or should I say should be a key criteria too. One should also be looking at whether it will be the only vehicle or will it be a second vehicle , will it be driven mainly in city or the highway etc. I will be looking at buying a new vehicle over the next three months and this one will be a contender in the list but will not win just on build based on my requirements and expectations.

Cant say how much happiness i get when the important points like safety, performance, dynamics etc are been discussed. Which are actually the expense for any car company.
In the name of features companies are charging so much by making different varients.
But people are fool they want features more than the ease of driving and comfort.
And so the companies are using it to get the money out from you (definitely less than government).
You said right its accelerator, gears, brakes for which you will thanks to self for years to make the decision to buy the vehicle.
Once you know what the kick is in higher power and torque, there is no going back.

We are ready to consider Mahindra's vehicles, but the company needs to address its delivery issues. Yesterday, I visited the showroom intending to book the AX7, but the dealer could not provide a definite delivery timeline. According to the dealer, the production of AX7 and AX7L models is very limited, while the MX series and AX5, which are in high demand, will be delivered more quickly. This raises concerns about customers who have already pre-booked the AX7 and AX7L variants.
It appears that Mahindra may be employing a strategy to delay the delivery of these top models to increase their prices later, rather than honoring the current introductory prices. This tactic seems unfair to customers who have pre-booked these variants.
Additionally, the sales team's arrogance and lack of customer care are unacceptable. After discussing with Sales Executive when we tried talking to the Area Sales Manager, he was sitting on a couch with one leg upon other and didnt even bother to stand or welcome us.
Instead of asking us to consider the vehicle, you should request that Mahindra improve its sales and customer service experience.

I think the brezza will sell more ,
The 1.5 will still score more than these turbos, in terms of mileage and usability in all power bands.
Longterm users will still go for the brezza with mild hybrid

True that bro, one buys a car to give the safety for the family, instead of a bike or a car which doesnt provide any thing. Even the base model of cars should focus on safety, instead of giving useless features which are never used. 6 airbags, ABS (discs on all 4 wheels), and much more. ADAS? well I dont think that is much needed as of now, would you recommend? because if that's the case, every brand, every car will need that feature.

Sunder bhai , recently read an article abt virtus where the airbags didn't deploy even after a massive impact, hence I remembered you saying during taigun video that u need 6 airbags which get deployed thereby trolling Mahindra where it didn't deploy with a smile. But after reading abt VW I feel the same abt VW, Though they care abt safety but here it was same story as that of Scorpio with German engineering. I also was shocked to hear abt this bcz I saw vw/skoda as upmarket cars but unfortunately though they are also sailing in the same boat.

People who were born in1950s complained that cars in 70s and 80s had small faces and small engines yet rest was history. I believe these odd car designs of today will become a normal sight in coming years. Every design language will take its time to get used to it.

Mahindra 3xo's mileage is a nightmare(as I'm seeing reviews of people doing long-trips) and that too even in this budget segment where cars of every other company give a good mileage and some of them provide good safety too. So there is no point getting 3xo just for safety.Nexon diesel is the best choice. One will get the best of both worlds. It will never impact the sales of even nexon and venue let alone brezza. These are winner products through and through. Yes it will create that initial burst in sales as mahindra vehicles usually do cuz mahindra is notorious for hyping up their product. But it will definitely settle down soon.

If Honda brings such a car with 1.5 NA engine then that will sell more rather than Turbo Engine. Reliability of Turbo Engines of Mahindra, Tata etc are still not proven and fuel guzzler who requires in this segment. Probably they should have tried with 1.5 NA 4 cylinder engine in lower models and TGDI engine in upper price bracket. Some essential stuff they should cover till MX3 variant to boost sales. Till there they should give defrogger, fog lights with cornering function, dash cam and ventilated seats instead of sunroof.
Venue and Sonet etc too we require with 1.5 NA engines instead of 1.2 Ltr Kappa NA engine
