I’m so glad browns are back, they were completely unavailable from about 2000 to 2020, for some strange reason. I have a beloved cream and brown knit wool mini-skirt and was unable to find a single coordinating brown top for it during those two decades. Warm, cognac brown/tan accessories were always available and I love those, but for larger-area coverage apparel items, especially those near my face, like sweaters and jackets, a cool-toned brown suits my coloring better. So, I’m very happy to see those cooler-toned, dark-chocolate browns this season. I do follow color trends because each season there will be a few good, cooler- to neutral-toned colors that I love and I can stock up on items in those colors while they’re available. Dark chocolate - best for eating, best for my wardrobe🙂
Dark brown doesn't come into fashion very often. In my stash, for at least 15 years, I have some chocolate coloured velour, that I haven't made up yet. Now I will.
One of the loveliest and quite sophisticated combinations with brown is lilac and the purple hues - whether they are soft and muted or more punchy. And I found that inspiration in a strange place - a friend's chocolate labrador grinning at me!

I always used to think brown was a boring colour but over the past few years I've come to really love it, there are so many really beautiful shades of brown, and worn with blue, green or pink they can make some really gorgeous outfits.
At first I thought I just didn't like Brown but I now know it was just the shade I need to know & the tone of brown makes huge difference. I realise now that it's the cool, extreme dark chocolate that I gravitate towards. I do have 3 pieces of choc brown in my closet. A dress, suede jacket & knee high boots thank you for helping me see my way forward in this colour ❤
I love red with brown, rather than with black, which is more expected, but a little flat. Black seems to suck the life out of any color it’s next to, except white and tan.🙂

Plus your soft voice and calming energy. I love different shades of brown. Until recently, I was a natural redhead. Warm spring as color palette. And, when hair was darker, also able to beautifully wear warm Autumn colors. Now, that my hair is grey white, blonde and a bit “cappuccino,” well still love brown. It’s really a staple of mine, since I don’t look well in black. In addition to what you’ve mentioned, I wear it with ivory, green or a warm coral, pink, red-orange.

Me, too. White suits me better than cream and it’s surprisingly good with browns. I first discovered this combo in a print and really like it. I wear a lot of white, it’s my favorite wardrobe color. Of course, autumn/winter fabrics like wool, cashmere and silk, are generally more cream/ivory because they, the “protein fibers”, can’t be chlorine-bleached, so true whites aren’t achievable. But soft whites, with more gray than yellow undertones, are perfect for my cool to neutral coloring.❤

I like brown and navy but need to try brown and grey. One of my go tos is green and brown. I also love more purples and pinks as well as I think burgundy could work I think it's about knowing your season and what colours work for you! I am dipping my toes in more and more I find you have to find the right tones of brown then its easier to pair things together.

I am 33, as a teen I always worse brown and black. I remember people saying these don't go together but look now it's so popular. Hahha

I always choose dark brown over black, shoes and bags especially. Maybe because I wear a lot of green.
Me too, black looks so flat and makes adjacent colors lifeless. Browns are richer and so much more interesting.🙂

Dark cool brown has been a staple base colour for me for years. I love styling it with navy, darker purple/plums, and dark green
