Nice post - Thank you - as a noob to 3ds max (Arnold), is there any way to actually get the sun disk to glow (instead of looking like a white plain disc)??
Super helpful video! I have a quick question though. When setting Physical Sky to a low Elevation angle it automatically adds a orange-red color to be like sunset. How can I keep the low angle but with a regular white color?
The sky in my ActiveShade and production renders is dark grey, not a blue gradient. I've followed along exactly... I notice you don't give the sky a colour, it just appears that way. What could I be getting wrong?
Question. Is this covered in the cinema 4d Arnold tutorial you have? I would like to use cinema's physical sky with arnold. do I just drop a parameter's tag on it and it would work?
hey, I only get black sky when I follow these steps and not the blue gradient. Is there a default that I need to check to see what I may have mucked up?
Hey sorry the reply notification didn't come up. My camera was pointing downish so I was getting the black horizon line showing too high. When I kicked the camera upwards.. amazingly there was sky! cheers.
in my 3ds 2018 design, this coomand doesn't work. I can't select it and, generally, seems to have less propreties (about skydome light) than you in the video. do i need to plug in something? thanks
Your tutorial is amazing

Hi can I export this physical sky to unity as sky of the game's world?

Hi, make sure Light Shape Visible option is checked in the SkyDome Light.
