BMW M5 E60 Makeover - Part 1: DEEP Dry Ice Cleaning!

- Join us as we embark on a meticulous journey of reviving a BMW M5 E60. In this video, we completely disassemble this classic M5 and perform a thorough dry ice cleaning. We leave no stone unturned as we clean the undercarriage, wheel wells, remove the bumpers, rocker panels, and plastic wheel well covers to dry ice clean under everything! The engine bay gets a deep clean, and we finish off by polishing the exhaust to a polished finish. Witness the transformation of this BMW M5 E60 as it regains its former glory!

This is a weld cleaning brush that we use, along with a heavy degreaser and finished with typical polishing techniques (in part 2)

Do you use a steam cleaner to carry out this cleaning?
What is the tool you are using for the exhaust pipe cleaning? It is attached to a cable and the dirt is just spilling out...
Other than that, this is OCD level, top-notch restoration indeed!

Yo guys, amazing work on the e60! I kinda have a technical question regarding the air source, would a normal compressor with a big tank also do the trick for blasting dry ice? I now have a industrial screw compressor but my workplace doesnt support the 380V it requires. Any tips?

Is that brush type thing you use on the exhaust also a form of dry ice cleaning or is that something else? And is that a metal polish you use afterwards or is that just a wipe down? Either way the exhaust looks brand spanking new after you done with it. I find that very impressive and satisfying.
The tool is a weld cleaning brush - we will use a mix of a heavy degreaser and then we will finish with some level of polish to give it that shine. It’s pretty close to magic honestly

The exhaust is cleaned with a weld cleaning brush. The wheels we used a brush attachment to the drill and a heavy degreaser, followed by dry ice

A classic porsche requires around 60lbs, or 27kg of dry ice, so I'd imagine we're around in that ball park for this car - potentially quite a bit more

If it was a car from a country where it's winter and they sprinkle salt on the road, there would be only rust on the chassis and suspension elements..

Changes them out, warm up the car properly and you can get 100k miles on them

Given that it is all cosmetic remediation ,the price is a little ambitious. If you have a obsessive character do it yourself and stroke and polish as you wish
