If you look at the things the left says and does today and you've either read a history book or are over 30 years old, it's plain that they now represent what they used to fight against and vice versa. It's bizarre. The people who protested Vietnam are sending billions to promote the war in Ukraine. The people who championed free speech now call for increased censorship. The people who fought against Citizens United to get corporate influence out of politics are now the primary recipients of big business donations. The people who wanted abortion to be safe legal and rare are now supporting it up to 9 months. It's not that this shift happened naturally over the course of history. This isn't like the Republican party of Lincoln not being the Republican party of Georg Bush. These are the very same people. You can see speeches of Biden against immigration, speeches of Obama against gay marriage, Nancy Pelosi condemning the same corporations she then took donations from, etc. I don't see a way that so many people just coincidentally all abandoned everything they stood for and started promoting the opposite, unless there's something influencing them and there's no physical thing that could exert that amount of influence that quickly over that number of people. I absolutely agree that we are dealing with a spiritual problem as well as a worldly problem.

My Government teacher in high school taught us that Free Speech is hard. You have to listen to things that make your blood curdle. But, there are libel and slander laws, and hate speech laws. Secret Service is allowing threats against Trump. If the same things were said about Obama - another former president - would they not be questioning them, putting them in jail, etc? That's what gets me - the double standard.
