I have bought 9 of them within the 2 year ago When there were on sale, but I still had to modify the buttons and a joystick to make them feel better. Now they cost too much and what you paying for it's not worth it. Especially if you have to upgrade the buttons and the joystick
Darren Kane is a bot. deep discounts didn't hurt the perception of arcade1up. it was the fact that the product was getting too expense for plywood furniture with mushy buttons that barely accommodate to average size males. then with the xl the thing that was supposed to help didnt done much as it was the same size as the other arcade 1up just without a riser but with a crappy monitor. also the rereleased the same cabinets over and over again because they refused to find someone to manufacture board that could handle the 3d era arcades. and lets not forget their weird products like the babycade, wheel of fortune and now the slimcade. it's clear the reason why arcade 1up is flopping hard
The XL's are a perfect size for the home. Much taller than their 3/4 scale versions and a little wider. They are close in size to a real arcade cabinet, 19" screens. Easy to move since they are fairly light and cheaper to repair than the actual arcade version.
@@xcom6466 mybe the first generation of the of arcade 1ups but ive seen the xl and the regular side by side and they are the same size with the riser. the larger screen isa nice but they are bad so they might as well been a 17inch. and yes the arcade 1ups are easy to move cheaper. those are some decent selling point but they keep reprinting the same stuff with minor improvements and charging more money and then making stuff that no one asked for.
Hi Michael B! I noticed that a container of A1Up is going to Canada with the following deluxe cabinets; Pac-Man , Class of '81, MK2, Golden Tee, and NBA Jam.
I stopped buying after price went >$300. I did buy Star Wars at full price as an exception. Last two I bought were the Marvel and NBA Jam countercade for $100 each last year…
First, congrats on the 200th! Second, while you had a lot of good observations (as always), saying "There's nothing to talk about..." isn't accurate. For proof, you spent nearly an hour talking about the "nothing" you said doesn't exist. And as further proof, the A1U Facebook and Reddit subs are filled with new topics every day. Sure, maybe it's not flashy new products that'll get clicks, but there are always things to talk about (the question is whether YOU feel like talking about them). After all, there doesn't seem to be an issue talking about AtGames 4K updates for the 30th time or how much somebody hates Jurassic Park artwork art over and over... just say it's your preference to talk about pinball (or consoles or whatever) and that'll be that!
Since you mentioned Ghostbusters and the other week you did a GI Joe unboxing, will you be getting the new Ghostbusters figures in vintage GI Joe style that came out?
The golden age of Arcade1Up is over. Their latest releases are a joke and it's clear the licenses left with JohnD. The only cabs worth picking up are older ones. I see zero future with the current leadership of this company.
