Wish I would have seen your video before I replaced the ESIM. Same exact crack from heat failure most likely. The new part will do the same...Gorilla tape and HVAC tape over it as a heat shield. Hope the code doesn't come back again!
Bro… I’ve been fighting this code for 6 months. I replace the emissions sensor, taped off over the open gas flap, everything I could think of that would cause a “small leak.” Ended up being 2 cracks on the hose. 🤦🏼♂️
My sister's Jeep is exactly the one that you have except for a 2012 she has a code 171 but for some different reason when I smoked it it was coming at a the furl cap a mechanic told her that she might have a leak in her fuel tank Is there any way to seal this or does she have to drop it
@whiteoneauto she also has a 420 code and due to that only has one catalytic converter I don't think it's her fuel pump in the past when I did smoke her evap it was leaking through the fuel cap I know that it can be caused by several things cuz it's getting too much air and little bit of gas and I know that it can damage the catalytic converter Do you know any other possibilities I have to check the engine for extra air entering
Thank you so much for posting this video. Same exact issue with my vehicle. Greatly appreciate it.
Thanks for watching. I hope it helped.
Me too!

@@danielwelch5006 Hope so too. Thanks for watching.
I did an inspection of the hoses and found a loose one. I tightened it and the problem was solved.
How did you get the hose to realize from the t joint after you removed the red tab. I am having the same issue and can’t remove the hose to replace
It's kinda tricky. Push in on white tab.
Saw a couple videos on this mine was cracked, but repaired still throwing code
Make sure the tube is fully seated. Then, if the problem persists, do a smoke test. Thanks for watching.
YO YO YO. Thank you for helping me, mine was cracked as well. Do you know the part number?

Thanks for watching. If the code you have is P0171, that is lean air fuel mixture. A different type of problem typically not EVAP related.

@@whiteoneauto thank you for your time Don't forget to vote
I have a Jeep Compass 2019 and the same code came on. Any ideas you can give me to solve the problem?
Start with a good visual inspection, then smoke test if you don't find the leak. Thanks for watching.
How do you remove that white clip?? Having the hardest time taking it out thay port
@@whiteoneauto I love that you answer people's questions.
What's the part called? I've same make and model
ME TOO> THIS VIDEO HELPED A LOT. I thought it was something else looked under the hood and both ends are cracked do you know the part number?
I posted the part number in the comments. Thanks for watching.
Did the Check engine light ever come back on?
@chrisb3976 No, sir. That is fixed.
Just out of curiosity did the customer ever come back?
No, that was the problem.
@@whiteoneauto ty sir
It's not fixed until the pcm passes the evap monitor after a drive cycle, until then don't assume!
THANKS FOR WATCHING. AND IT IS FIXED NO CODE RETURN FOR OVER 6 MONTHS. PLEASE KEEPING WATCHING SO WE CAN SHOW YOU MORE FIXES.
How can you say it’s fixed when you just cleared the code yourself
Because we found the leak. The tube was broken. Thanks for watching.
How much would this repair be
The part is $45 and i bet a garage would charge you 200 to 300 for labor.
2017 Grand Cherokee...same problem...ty
Thanks for watching. I'm glad it helped.
