- 45 Cowboy Special with a 230gr 45 ACP Bullet with Hodgdon HP38.
WARNING!!!! Pressure in the 45 ACP is far greater than that of a 45 Colt gun. It's not good to use 45 ACP data cartridges to be used in 45 Colt guns.
45 ACP max pressure is 21,000 PSI.
45 Colt max pressure is 14,000 PSI.
I’m using a low charge for 45 ACP, which is below the 14,000 PSI for 45 Colt guns.
If you’re unsure how to reload these safely, I recommend not reloading these rounds and sticking with reloading 45 Colt to be safe.

For a light load seems to still thump the steel pretty good. Comfortable with hardly much recoil plus saves more powder for more reloads. Nice! 👍🙏
It’s was definitely a round made to shoot lightly. I just have a bad habit of wanting a consistent round lol.
@@jesseboutdoorsLike you said a roll crimp should help. I wondered even with light powder load if there was creep which affects pressure. Thanks.
@@billdye3530 since this video I did get the roll crimp die. I think I have two or three more 45 ACP bullet videos coming up. I haven’t had a chance to load any up with the roll crimp die yet.

Yes I got the roll crimp die. I got a few videos already made without it though. Probably next month with that die.
