@@discoveryoutdoorskcfishing236 Super critical when you get blues in the 50+ pound range especially in heavy current. Also try to net them from the side and not off the back of the boat, way too many things that can and will go wrong near the motor.
@@ChrisJones-nt1sy yeah I know that's right. I caught a couple big 50 plus on the Missouri River and luckily had a net both times. Actually broken it on one that was like 46 lb a couple years back.
Thanks for the informative video. I have fished the rocks there but never by boat, looks like i need to do that next. even those eater size fish feel great in that current!
Uh-oh, the s-bomb! Meanwhile, glad to see you back. That was some "sudsy" water; until you showed the map, I just figured you were downstream of a "Tide Detergent" plant (LOL)! Isn't it about time to take Abra out on a bluegill trip? Hope everything is going well with ya'll!
Great to see you my friend. Yeah everything is so flooded here that they are running water like Mad Men. Makes fishing a little more difficult but when you do get in the right spot it just seems like you can't stop catching fish. Actually it is about time for us to be hitting some bluegill nests.
@@discoveryoutdoorskcfishing236 Yep - the news reports showing the flooding looks real bad. Glad you guys apparently aren't personally affected. Take care.
How far from the Truman Dam were you? I normally only go snaggin' in that area but will eventually start to fish it. Last time I was there the water was rolling around MM81.
I finished it to the end and saw where you were. Great video with explanation. I'm a weekender there and know several of my neighbors who had more time this spring had some great success on the cats this year.
I enjoyed the fight and wasnt on the boat!!!! Damn I love to fish, I need to get back to Warsaw...🎣🎣
That's why you use a quality landing net and not grippers.
Yeah I actually left the damn thing in my garage that day. I do have a good one though.

Yeah it can be deceiving how big a 3lb cat feels in 5mph current.

@@enduringpatriot fortunately we sit on top of a hill so no serious issues other than washing out our driveway several times.
