What settings are you even using? That doesn't make sense. It should be looking better than this.
Did you by any chance forget to remove the OpenVR FSR mod from your Fallout 4 when you upgraded GPU? (I made that mistake myself, the FSR mod does not work correctly over 100% resolution)
This video was shot with quasi-default Airlink settings. I am now using Virtual Desktop over Ultra for 90Hz and High for 120. Looks twice as good as this and runs perfectly!

Question, i want to buy a quest 3 and play fallout 4, i have a decent pc with an rtx 3060 ti, and the graphics are ok, would it look the same as a normal pc version of fallout 4 but just vr? Or is it going to look different?

Playing anything in VR is just not comparable to the flat, lifeless desktop mode. First you'll get realistic depth perception which blows desktop out of the water and beats it up to a pulp. Then with the Quest 3 the pixel density is so vast, the image will be clear. The only compromise is maybe you'll need to undershoot quality settings, as with all games you play in VR, but it will still look five light years ahead of the drab, flat desktop edition.

Last but not least: Your RTX 3060 Ti should do very nicely with this game, maybe even letting you supersample (render at a resolution greater than your headset's) without any hitches.

Wait; there’s a two handed gun mod???? That’s amazing, the one thing I want more than anything else. I’ll check it out right now. The best mods I’ve seen so far are Pack Attack, making enemy AI wildly better, as well as two other mods that remove RNG from shots, and that give all enemies faction specific accuracy (a random raider would be less accurate than a robot)

How do you get it on quest?

You have to run it on a PC using the Meta Quest Link app, either over the USB-C (Link) or over wifi (Airlink).

@@Stereo3DPlays why aren't you playing via Virtual Desktop? I heard its better than AirLink

If you're building a PC setup from scratch, you won't need to aim too high since today's hardware has gotten really powerful: I would say a 14th gen i5 with 16GB of RAM (not even the fancy memory) and an RTX 3060 will run Fallout 4 with some really good VR specs.
For the VR itself, you'd likely want a Quest: It's got the entry level price tag with the capabilities of an enthusiast kit. You can use the wireless capability, provided you have a wifi router recent enough (I use my ISP's wifi router from 2019 which uses wifi 5 aka 802.11ac) with your PC *wired* to said router (you can't have the PC also using wifi). If you're not sure about your wifi, get a high speed USB-C cable on amazon (just search for "quest link wire" and you'll get tons of cheap knockoffs that work really well)
Fallout 4 VR is my favorite room scale game. I hope you get your shot at it, too... It's a lot of fun and you can "exist" in the thing for hundreds of hours because it will sidetrack you all the time if you let it.
