I always forced my Vermils into the arrow shaft. This is useful information. Thanks, my man 😁

That is so awesome! I have some carbon arrows that I bought online that were pretty cheap. The knocks are pretty difficult to pull out. Can I use the same technique to get them out?

Yes, you can. That's exactly what i do with stubborn nocks too

I was wondering whether boiling water can be used instead of the flame to heat up the shaft. Did this for hotgluing arrowtips in instead of using an open flame because otherwise it would be easy to burn the shaft without the glue fully melting.

Boiling water will not work. Using open flame is the best way and the trick is to put in some commonsense. The only way to burn the shaft is if your flame is sharp/focused or staying in one spot for too long. As such jet lighter should never be used, and always move the flame back and forth while spinning the shaft to distribute the heating evenly. Millions of people done that safely and successfully, so it would be international breaking news if you manage to burn the shaft.

I always use slight sanding. Is that okay?
