I know it's what South Park tends to do does, take real world shit and turn it into comedy. But man, the therapists description of anxiety at the start has got to be one of the most real things they've ever said on this show
Not really. The people ive met who actually have real anxiety issues are some of the most considert people you will ever meet. Cartman wants to have anxiety to F around and do whatever he wants when he wants. He feels zero shame. When someone has it so bad they get panic attacks they feel tremendous shame for not being able to be in control in that moment.

I was diagnosed with adhd when I was basically in preschool, anxiety when I was in first grade. Diagnosed with depression in third grade. I was as in special education around people with dissociative identity disorder schizophrenia, depression anxiety etc too. I assure you all of these things are very real.
These days anxiety gives me heart palpitation among other things and I need to just stop what I’m doing and relax for a while.
Mental health ultimately leads to physical health. -negative or positive. We all need to remember to take care of our minds too.
The people without official diagnoses are full of crap though.

This is why South Park is my favorite show. So many parallels of thought and makes you see/think about many things differently.
It’s crazy how Cartman can go around intentionally drawing attention to himself and causing trouble, and yet doesn’t even realize he’s doing it, even when he’s claiming he wants to be left alone or whatever excuse, or gaslighting against others that he comes up with
Being chronically online was one of the huge issues behind my anxiety years ago. I was really addicted to social media (Twitter especially) but once I realized what was going on, I put an end to it. I do still use those apps but not all the time because I don’t want to go back to that person ever again.
With that being said, I'm glad that you returned to this season. I was wondering when you're going to finish it. ❤
There’s people who really do suffer from anxiety. My doctor explained it to me that it’s a chemical imbalance in your brain that can cause depression & anxiety. And as a person on the spectrum I always have trouble regulating my emotions & I have to have to take medication to help with that

Your right there are, the majority though are people just crying. The vast majority of people complaining about anxiety are people who are coopting the pain and trauma of people who have actually been through real shit not just having to talk to others or do shit they don't wanna
There’s a BIG difference between having a medically-diagnosable anxiety-disorder vs feeling anxiety just like literally everyone else does
90% of people who complain about anxiety and expect special treatment for it do not have a diagnosed disorder. They just think they have a disorder because they did 10 minutes of google “research” that they don’t understand because they’re embarrassingly uneducated

That was my ex’s problem. She became more in love with her phone than the guy she was with for 23 years. She would come home from work and then go into the bathroom and 4 hours later you could still hear her watching tiktok, the telltale sounds of liking on Insta and the constant tapping of the onscreen keyboard every single day. It got to a point where I would have to be careful when approaching the bathroom so she did not get annoyed with me. I however, rarely ever use my phone on a daily basis.
I had bad anxiety back then. I still somewhat do, but it’s more social.
