I have this job to do next week on my 1956 Fordson major. Bakes currently work but won’t hold with a load, or on an incline. Thanks so much for posting this.
l got a fordson major, the rear wheels were turning fine, but now both rear tires are locked and just skid. do you think the brakes could seize from sitting?
Hi Mate, thanks for the great videos! Just got myself a major diesel, around 1959. Where can I source the correct shade of blue paint? I’m in Victoria, Australia. TIA
Its called Empire Blue, usually has to be mixed up, I've had luck at a dulux supplier who can mix it up as an Ag Paint. Massey Ferguson Red for the wheel rims is very close to original for Aussie Fordson's.
Hi I've got a stuck back brake on a super major which hasn't moved for about 4 years! (Inside storage) is there any easy way of loosening it? just so it can be moved. With the idea of full restoration at later date? Thanks :)
