I absolutely love the thought of Santa holding his elf's at gunpoint in order to bring joy and happiness to the world
I play a game called Killing Floor and one of the funniest maps is Evil Santa’s Lair because as you go through the map you find stuff like zombified elves frozen in the walls or skewered by candy canes and my favorite is banners around the map that say “a lazy elf is a dead elf”

I love how real the crashing computers is. People don’t realize now often this happens and how it’s literally part of the schedule budget for VFX teams.

no thats not insane. i am a game developer. thats basic game controller available in many packages in unreal engine. u just have to replace the character with santa. he did great but game thing is a simple to do

as a fellow completely unbiased canadian, fenner's work was SO DAMN COZY it has to be my favorite. that subtle toon shading look with the warm purple bloom makes this whole scene feel so rich and fuzzy. but honestly GOOD JOB YALL i think this is the first render challenge where im legitimately blown away by every single one of those renders.

I love the banter and fun between Fenner, Peter and Jordan. These additions to the OG crew have been nothing short of amazing!
Let me just say that I absolutely *LOVE* that young blood as well as non-animator crew members have been getting more and more screen time.
Christian, Fenner, Peter, Jordan and Jordan are awesome!
Also love how sam keeps trying things in a game mode cause it really is interesting to see them doing something of a game creation
It is a little bit frustrating though bc I wouldn't call Sam's render 'cozy'. Fun and creative, sure, but the challenge was to make something that felt 'cozy'
Jordan's was by FAR the best one and most impresive art wise and technically. Also loved the animation! I will be using that one for sure

Fenner's is my favorite! I expected it to be cliche lo-fi vibes like what you see on TH-cam, but it's very beyond that! I can't explain, but it gives me a very heartwarming feels

I loved all of these!
The claymation miniature feel of one, the warm fuzzy animals in another, the fire glow from the house that has a mysterious, almost ominous undertone, the muffled hockey game going on in the background! I want to live in these renders. Just curl up and go to sleep.

I live about 30 minutes away from North Pole, Alaska. I've been to Santa's Workshop a few times; it's a nice place. THEY HAVE A FUDGE COUNTER. THE FUDGE IS INCREDIBLE. GET SOME FUDGE.
My best memory: walking up to Santa with my girlfriend and asking, "could _you_ sit in _my_ lap?" "Certainly!" I had Santa and my girlfriend on my knees. It was incredible.

I personally like the one where Santa gets teleported to Mars and has to deliver presents to the alien children, but struggles to understand what they want. It was thought provoking, wholesome and very well rendered. Kudos to the person who made it.

Those were all great! I love how each of them was stylistically different yet all achieved the cozy feel of Christmas.

that first one was SO GOOD

Each one was truly special on its own, this is probably one of the best challenges you guys ever done.
My favourite thing about Christmas time is how it reminds us that the Creator of this Universe has made his Kingdom in Heaven available to us on Earth, and that all we need to do is work together in fellowship to actually walk through the entrance way.
This really gets the christmas feel going. Keep up the good work guys and MERRY CHRISTMAS!
Dang, Peters looked legitimately real. The way the cloth is simulated really added to the whole aesthetic and stole the show, I wasn't even paying attention to the chimney fire escaping. We need a 10 minute version of this. Maybe longer lmao.

I once read about Victorian child chimney sweeps see in England getting stuck, ever the tighter as they struggled with their knees to their chests. And the sweep company operator having to retrieve their bodies from disgruntled chimney-having folk. Merry Christmas Jordan.
