    Fabulous job! Just a tiny point, castles would keep the ground out to a bow shot away clear of trees that could serve as cover and concealment for attackers and a strong point inside as its "Keep," to which the noble family and retainers whorls retreat to if the walls were breached.I don't mean to nit pick especially since I couldn't do 1/100th of what you accomplish.

    Hope all is well my Canadian friend. @ 9:14 you mentioned spraying dry terrain w a spray bottle first so the H2O/PVA doesn't just sit on top of the grout, you can also spray it with ISO first ( give it a good soaking) and it will act as a surfactant and allow the top coating of H2O/PVA to soak all the way thru the ground cover layers and bond with the PVA you placed on the bottom layer, thus forming a PVA bond all the way thru.

    So far this is definitely looking like a great fallow up to the Wizards tower just like I thought it would. Keep up the great work. Can't wait to see more!
    An FYI on the seams. If you make the seams at a slight angle and use plastic wrap on the in cut side you can blend the joint much better. This can also be done with the cliff face as well. Just use the plastic wrap on the cliff part and add the "rocks" and "clay" stuff on top of that. Then once dry peel them off the plastic wrap and it should hide the seam. Another trick is to have an irregular seam that uses stacked rocks and such on the cliff face as a seam.

    • @RealTerrainHobbies
      @RealTerrainHobbies  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Question about priming... would you ever prime the board, say black before painting it? Like how they usually prime buildings and figures. I am going to be starting a 30"w x 22"d x 20"h project soon and was wondering if it is better to prime the whole board first or just start painting sections in layers as you've done here.
