YAY, a new Goobertown video :D I look forward to every new video you put out Bret, this one looks particularly fun.
I have to say, I particularly love the Castle, especially when that long wall was set up, it reminded me of a childhood wish I had to create a huge castle diarama which btw, never really happened, at least from what I can remember. This kit would have been incredible though something I could never have afforded for my $2 per week pocket money. Great to see these days though.
The two at the front from those that you painted are my favs. I would love to see your colourful painted versions but the funny thing is, if the company does send you some items which would be great, anything thats not a huge collection is going to seem really stingy compared to the one sent to Real Terrain Hobbies channel.
Hey Brent, it would be really great if you could do a comparison with top quality standard heavy body acrylic paints with normal miniature hobby paints, if they work just as well, even the highest quality normal acrylic paints are going to seem value for money in comparison to really any of the major hobby brands such as GW and Vallejo.

I really liked what you guys said about perseverance. I work 12h shift as a correctional officer and it can be tough to sit down and finish the hobby projects I have piled up in the little amount of time I have between shifts. This video was very good motivation and gave me confidence that if any goober can do it, I can do it too!
I was feeling very angry before watching this video but your demeanor of absolute humility calmed me Brent. Thanks for being who you are and know that your videos are important to many people.

Hi B, many years ago family had a cabin on Mooselookmeguntic lake, [heard of it ? yeah ME]. started collecting drift wood one thing lead to another and I became a 3-D artist. Another inspiring hobby video. Awesome techniques demonstrated too, loved the weathering on the stone. So much you can transfer from that to stone mini bases! Wonderful job gentelmen.

I've seen these buildings on various channels they are really lovely. Very tempted to get some. Although I do like building my own stuff ---- But the tiles are already done on these ( I hate doing tiles I've just done a ton of them ---Argh) you guys did a superb job on these.

Yeah, even if you don't want to paint the interior yet, just leave it closed until you do. There's no need to glue them shut. It's a waste of so much wonderful detail.

Dude I thought the same thing about painting these as a warcraft city. I am now torn whether to make my dream gaming table from either these or the mdf venician themed terrain I found. Its for my blue and white freeguild so either work
I keep seeing goldshire in my head. All of the other human towns are pretty much goldshire with different color roofs though... :-)
@@GoobertownHobbies Honestly after thinking about it, I think a terrain board should be painted in drab muted colours so that the bright minis can stick out. Or at least that might be one way to take it

What was that powder stuff that they were putting on the buildings and spraying with water? Great video and everything looks really cool. It must have been a great experience to go to a different country to do your hobby.

If you mix the powder with Water you can wash it on, with it is dry you will have a great finish and wil be so fast, you can save a lot of time :)

I've got to ask though, why five days? Weren't you guys rushed? If I had all these masterpieces I would have spent quite awhile finishing them, that way I wouldn't have crafters remorse in a couple months, lol

hey hey welcome! The interior paintjobs were rudimentary, sadly not as good as the exterior paintjobs. The 5 day timelimit was because I didn't want to upend neil's work/family life by living with him for longer than that hahaha. We hadn't met in person before this, so we didn't want to commit to a longer visit than 5 days ;-)
soo, really interasting and epic.. but what's up with that roofs? brown tiles with white-ish drybrush? it looks kinda weird.
Hi, I'm planning to buy one of those little houses from Tabletop World, but the dimensions on their website confuse me. For example, their town walls are only 16 centimeters high, but watching this video I would bet they are at least 16 inches high, that is, twice the size. Ditto for all the other structures. Please tell me how big they actually were. Thank you!

Hand crafted and then reproduced with molds and resin. (at least that's my understanding of what tabletop world does)

I wanted to take just a Sneak Peak for this Video and come back to it later, but i got hooked immediately and had to watch it full because there is something about you that is very beautiful and has lost alot of appreciation in my opinion. And that is:
being human. Always when I turn on your Videos they give me a Feeling of home or safety and no matter what negativity has ever visited me that day gets washed away for a second (or half an hour ;D) and i can reevaluate certain Things which you say just like it is everyday normal life but you are so: HUMAN. It almost feels Alien to me. But it is so Refreshing and makes me think alot of myself and life (in a positive manner thanks to you) that I couldnt resist but to share it with you what a gift of a person you are for me. I thought you'd like to know those buildings ARE built rock by rock! they carve out the stones from polystyrene and build the buildings up like that. That's why they're so expensive!

@@GoobertownHobbies Tabletop used to have a part of their website that explained how the building were built and how the company was started. I have 12 of their buildings so far and just ordered the barn and the outhouse. I'll probably end up replacing my Hudson & Allen Castle with the Tabletop World castle. They make some amazing terrain.

The most important part of this incredible collaboration was making a new friend, something that isn't easy as you get older and finding someone to share hobbies with is extra special.
