What was it about the Tamburello? I remember Piquet in '88 having almost the identical incident in the Williams - and in effect it ended his career, as he was never the same driver afterwards.
I definitely want to visit Imola but there are some things that I quite don't understand. As long as Tamburello has been changed, is the wall on the pictures the original one where the car car collided? Is it possible to stand on the exact point of the accident? (I see pictures taken outside the wall). Is Imola circuit free to get in and visit it?
Existe sim. Quando vc ver a chicane Tamburello aquela área de escape com areia, o muro é aquele ao fundo. O local do impacto fica indo reto na segunda perna da chicane. E esse monumento em homenagem fica no lado interno logo após a chicane Tamburello. O muro do acidente não pode ser removido pq atrás tem um rio.
The wiping of the footage of the final seconds immediately afterwards was, in itself, its own condemnation of what happened. I watched the race live - and Ayton's steering wheel was just wobbling lazily in his hands - it was quite obvious that by that point the wheel wasn't connected to anything...

Yes the original wall is shown in this video and remains there
Imola so open days where they let people walk and cycle the circuit, check their website for the dates this year 👍
