Fun fact: before the video, Skall cut down a massive tree only using those knives to get a stump to use as a table.

It did do better - the other one had cut into the black one, but that meant the blade became wedged inside the black one and the twisting stress caused a bit to snap off
You could get the same if you wedged it into a tree and Twisted it too badly the winning blade ends up in a much weaker position at the end as it has much less steel to support that bit of the blade wedged inside the other one

For the tendonitis, try scraping it. (details below)
You'll probably get a bruise, which will heal in 7 days. Damaged spots get bruised easily. If the scraping feels bad, you can just stop. Wait for 7 days before scraping the spot again.
I've found that resting the scraped spot for a day or two gets the best healing results. (Talking about the damage, the bruise will heal at the same rate whatever you do.) The scraping is great for muscle pains, but helps the tendons too.
You'd do well to put some baby oil, hand lotion or any other lubrication on first to protect your skin. It's fine to scrape without it as well, it's just more comfortable with it. Definitely put something on if your skin is weak. Don't scrape cuts or otherwise damaged skin or if you are on blood thinning medication or have diabetes or if your sense of pain is dull.
You can use a big eating spoon. Find one with round edges. If you're damaging your spoon or skin you're doing it wrong.

Literally the first time I took it outside I stabbed it into a chunk of wood and the tip bent, and then promptly broke off. Going into this test I was sure, given what I had seen during five years selling knives (retail), that the Uncle Henry would win. Uncle Henry's the type of knife that the farmer would use. Not built for looks, but built like a brick outhouse, Mossy Oak is built for the weekend warrior, useful but with a little man-bling that brings the usefulness down a little. The fantasy is built for just that fantasy.

I'd like to see this with kukris. Looking for something relatively light to keep in my MTB pack for brush clearing. It gets properly windy here, so sapling-sized blowdown across the trails isn't uncommon.

Good vid, you wonder how good a $20 dollar knife will be. Thanks for testing those out. Didn't know it was windy until you said so, the wind screen works. You should do more budget testing because some of us are penny pinchers.

Feel like you could easily turn the Uncle Henry into a Seax pretty easily with the amount of blade they give you

I guess the non-sharp serrations and cutouts could... Hold a fishing line maybe? Provide a base to lash the back of the blade to a stick to make a knife-axe?
    I dunno.

I have the wall hanger. Family member gave it to me. I've done all I can to make it good for something. But ultimately I just leave it in a case with the other junkers. Been looking for an affordable throw-away Bowie for a while, so I'll check out those other two

In Rambo First Blood Part 2, Rambo uses the "saw" on the back of the knife to cut barbed wire. Modern wall hangers just copy the spine of the Rambo knife because it looks cool.

I believe the purpose for those large serrations is to cut notches in wood for traps and tent stakes. Not sure the mall ninja knife could actually do that, but Tops has some blades with a functional design that employ the back serrations. I like the compariaon vid!!

Great video Skall; i think that the Uncle Henry can also be good to make sparks because the blade look thicker and more sqared on the back.

idk if anyone is gonna find this but the mossy oak knife also comes in a wood handle for a few dollars more which alleviates so much of the slipping he has in the video if you want to get that one get the one with the wooden handle

Why are so many knives equipped with nearly useless serrations?
All that thing might work for is removing scales from fish, but that's about it.

Answer to holes in Mall Rambo: Ealier combat knives had those holes which would lock with the case which also had a short metal cutting edge so u can cut wire cable using it like wire cutters.

for the edge on edge at the end, the one that chipped is definitely the better blade. the mall Rambo blade was soft enough to not chip, but it's also soft enough to not hold a good edge. the fact that the other one chipped tells me that you could sharpen it quite well and now worry about the edge retention.
