  • I decided to ditch the stock mirrors and instead install bar end mirrors to give my 2019 Monkey a much better look, and improve rearward visibility! Win win! Check out Blockhead's video where he does this on a Grom, which is almost identical to the Monkey - • How To: Honda Grom Bar...
    Supplies / Tools used to make this video:
    Bar End Mirrors = amzn.to/2W876Ix
    Loctite = amzn.to/2YTvSJl
    Washers = amzn.to/2HEK6rS
    Vice grip = amzn.to/2WwsPcy
    Screwdriver Set = amzn.to/2K4dxoU
    Inner dimension of bar end thread = .27 inches
    Outer dimension of bar end washer = .75 inches
    Camera stuff:
    Gopro = amzn.to/2W6wVcj
    Pixel 3 = amzn.to/2Wrq6RQ
    Osmo Mobile 2 Gimbal = amzn.to/2W9gc7S
    Tripod = amzn.to/2WmSuEN

    Fantastic video, however I’m in the UK and I have no idea what size washers to buy.

    That doesn't look like it's too complicated of a job. I'm wondering about removing the factory and very carefully bending them to be further out and, at the same time, lowering them also.

      Definitely not a hard job. I'd be worried about snapping the stock ones but let us know how it goes!

    Do you notice a difference in the handlebar feel without the stock bar ends?

      nope, not at all.

    What’s the size of screwdriver you used?

    • @GuyQ84
      @GuyQ84  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I *think* it was just a standard "PH2" size Phillips.

    Have you found a cap for the stock mirror insert yet?

      @@GuyQ84 I wonder if there is a phone mount of some sort you could screw into it

    • @GuyQ84

      @@WW614 interesting idea - I just use a ram mount x-grip on my other bikes (but on the monkey I never go far enough where I'd be lost / need gps to get back home) :)

      @GuyQ84  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      could probably find a ram ball bolt that fits that thread though...

      @@GuyQ84 haha yea cant stray too far, but I like to have GPS up to find new routes or even off the path trails if you use satellite mode. Just got a 2020 in blue, this is going to be one of my first mods, I'm a bigger guy so I have to lean out of the way to use the stock mirrors. Thanks for the howto!

    3:49 the silver thing that ur taking off. Mine is stuck inside, I I saw I installed the bar end mirror on the wrong side and the silver thing is stuck there because of the nut that's making the pressure, so when I'm trying to take it out, the screw comes out but the silver thing remains, any tips`?

    • @GuyQ84
      @GuyQ84  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      hard to say, I'm not exactly sure which part you are referring to... When you take the screw out, doesn't that decrease the pressure and can't you just pop it out? Maybe I'm thinking of a different part?

      @@GuyQ84 ibb.co/y4JJqhR this is the part thats stuck inside. When I'm trying to take the screw out it doesnt decrease the pressure. The screw is coming out but not the silver thing along with the nut

    • @GuyQ84
      @GuyQ84  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ffxure7874 well... Once you take the screw out, that should make less pressure, and you should be able to wiggle it out, can you take a pic or post a quick vid of what you've got going on?

      @@GuyQ84 I think i found a solution actually. Somebody that i know said that i could take out the other screws and just change side, its kinda hard for me to explain it on English, but thanks for the help anyway
