    Hey, can you maybe tell me after which formula are the cutting blades designed? like the amount of teeth, curved angle, distance?

      didnt use formula for it. Just thought about how much of a bite i wanted into material. just added a little rake angle on teeth. But i am sure you can use formulas from other cutting blades and such.

    For horsepower (3063 * 5) = 15315 in-lbs/sec / 12 = 1276.25/ 550 =2.32HP this is from your forums i just wanna know why you didn't convert your 5 rpm to rps?

      i am not sure mabye i wanted rpm because that is what motors are rated in? Not sure that was a very long time ago.

    Hi. Is it possible if you could share any references regarding the assumptions made? eg. the 80% of UTS. i need them for my report writing for my human-powered shredder. also it abit confussing as in the post u shared on precious plastic forum , u stated its 80% of YEILD. hope you are able to clarify this. thank you

      and also, can i check with you on the total torque required. does the number of blades affect the total torque required? we know that the torque can be derived by multiplying the cutting force by the radius of cutter. but what if i have 14 blades in contact with the plastic. do i have to multiply the torque by 14?

      it should be 80% of UTS. i think i googled it somehwere i am not sure where.

      @@syakiraha5330 That is correct. Each contact you have to multiple the torque required by the number of contacts. so you want as few blades contacting at once. That is why i have the blades staggered.

      2. Why did you choose the safety factor as 200%? Why you didn't take it as 15 or 20%?
