Mmmmh, the Smashing Pumpkins... long time ago I've heard something from them, what a pleasure !!! Crazy guitar team, Ida and Billy - amazing how they play together...
Billy Corgan (lead vocals, lead guitar), Jimmy Chamberlain (drums and percussion), James Iha (rhythm guitar, and backing vocals), and Melissa Auf der Maur (base guitar, and backing vocals).
Yes, I think that is a very accute description. It's not one of my favourites, but now that I rhave read your comment i do see a bit more of it;well;; more of the motivation+purpose ot the song is revealed to me.
i thought this was one with the electronic heavy metal machine chant. i wonder what was the first concert they initiated the computer voice into the song the computerized voice just fit the tone of the song so well....i really wished they'd recorded an alternate version with the computer voice for machina II
This is mildly embarrassing in that "13 year old headbanging in your room alone" sort of way until 4:30, when it starts to totally rule. Oh, Pumpkins. How I miss you.
Actually I listen to just about everything except rap, pop, country, and R&B. Yes I do listen to a lot of metal. But also listen to Jazz, blues, electronica, orchestral, classical, etc etc.
the live version slays the album version
Yeah, the album version is processed half to death and nowhere near as ferocious
I knew Billy Corgan could scream, but not like that!
Could he be any more of a legend?!
he doesn’t own a salad dressing brand or anything, as far as I’m aware.
@@Sam_T2000fuzzle wuzzle
Aaaand this is what's missing from new new Pumpkins. The vocal dynamics.
Totally cathartic. You don't see performances like this anymore.
Wrong.
Holy fuck. Billy is the ultimate badass of music.
FEEEL THAT SCREAM IN YO SOULLLLLLLLLLL!

That second scream scared the shit out of me.
i saw their concert in Philly recently and they're so different but so similar now.
Man, I love Melissa in this. I love her in everything, but this is awesome. She plays heavy stuff sooo well live.
why are people arguing about this being heavy metal?its only the name of the song.doesnt mean it has to be the type of music.

is billy wearing earplugs
I love scream 5:34
I can hardly agree with that, but this performance is pretty powerful.
jimmy chamberlin lo maximo!!!
best track off that album by far, no cherub rock but pretty good
Yeah, I totally agree with you although it´s a shame that the version in the record isn´t as good as most of the live ones.
earplugs, or in-ear monitors
Face = Melted
i can't think of anything to say
Why did Billy shave his head?
