I really dig the choice of music for this video. Ape Escape is goated! I’ve been having a hard time not losing to running out of time when playing snake eyes. Super cool deck, but damn I end with basically no time when I pass over or when using interruptions on my opponents turn. I feel like i have a good grasp of the deck, but holy hell this is the worst I’ve had it when playing under the time limit. Makes me wish timer was at 400 or maybe gave you some time back when you made a play when under 30 seconds.

This engine is definitely something that might be Tier 0, but there are SO MANY silly ways to run it in tons of decks. It's more interesting than what people did with the Adventure Token cards at least.
If I had to guess I'd guess they're working out what they need to hit by putting the strongest new deck in a higher power format than the tcg to see if it is still crazy strong and if it is work out what the hits need to be (personally I think put snash to two along with oak and limit bonfire to 1)
Hopefully they don't hit flamberge or the decks only a resource loop with no in archetype payoff, I'm down with limiting/semi-limiting the trees though ngl xD

I think it’s a way to make more money, if cards come out at the same time in MD as the cardboard formats, they don’t need to pre-emptively release cards with banlist hits. It puts more money in Konami’s pocket and speeds up the game. Lowkey a win for both sides.

I think the main complain about snake eyes format in the TCG is that the engine cost your arm and your left nut, while in MD you can just make an alt and have plenty of gem to play whatever you want. Really want to see how the format evolve, and worse case scenario the engine is gonna get nerfed in the ground in the next months.

Could someone please tell me where the music that is playing during the first duel is from? I know it's from Ape Escape but it sounds very different than how I'm used to it sounding! I love the OST for the original PS1 Ape Escape and I legitimately listen to it all the time, it's genuinely one of my all time favorite OSTs, so I 100% know this song but I'm not sure why it sounds so different than I'm used to?

Snake eyes plays through droll with most hands so if shs gets hit people will cut droll by proxy of the nerf. Droll doesn't hurt branded or labyrinth either. Card definitely getting cut after shs gets a nerf. Meaning that shs will just lose to maxx c like every other combo deck usually does.

This is my debate. I got back into the game for Theme Chronicle, and spent my Gems to get enough of the Diabellstar engine that I could EITHER craft Rescue-ACE with a Diabellstar core, or just go pure Snake Eye. And I feel like it has to be Snake Eye?
Don't think it's good enough to get gutted any time soon. Deck loses to maxx c if you don't draw the 3 of hand trap negates and can't end on any good board under maxx c. Also lack of bonfire makes you end up in weird situations where you have a single play in hand that loses you the game instantly if negated, especially by imperm. Decks crazy if it gets going but it suffers the maxx c curse like most others combo decks. Gutting happens after emergency or bonfire get released

Some decks end on a negate or disruption with 1 summon, and some like snake eyes literally have 0 negates during their turn, which is asking to be destroyed by 7 hand traps, including nib. Maxx c KILLS snake eyes. In that they literally cannot afford to play through it if it resolves.
