For my fellow guitar geeks out there, the tuning I'm using is Db-Gb-Db-Gb-Bb-Eb. 🤓

Thanks! This is in "open G6" tuning (D-G-D-G-B-E) tuned down a further half-step, so really it's "open F#6" (C#-F#-C#-F#-A#-D#)

You show brilliance in the first few seconds, recalls Tommy Emanuel. But a negative point that I notice are the "metronome" and the second voice in the background. Lay people will think that the brilliance comes solely from you and the guitar, but there are "tricks". With a few more background features it will look like karaoke, and you don't really need it
Hey thanks for the comment! Glad you enjoyed it. I openly mention in the video description that there are background vocals added, and there's no metronome - that's the sound of my foot tapping during the recording (you can see my leg move throughout). No tricks :) JT

@@GutHoister Keep things simple. The notes have to make sense. When playing the guitar, remember that people should listen and not WATCH. What your hands are doing with the guitar doesn’t matter if that doesn’t make any sense to the ears.
@@GutHoister I mean, that short intro does not make any difference to the song. It is a show off only, and I cannot say it made me go wow.

Music to me should be real, it should make sense, it should feel as if the notes are meant to be put together. There should not be any room for unnecessary tones or unnecessary solos.
When covering a song by the greatest rock band of all time with an acoustic guitar you cannot throw in some extra solos or some strange tones hoping that it will complete the song. Rather you should focus on singing it nicely and probably - in this case - slow it down to make it more original and EASY.
Hope this explained something to you. I should be allowed to have my opinion. And I guess my opinion is what most of the people agree with. Because if you close your eyes; imagine you’re out walking and this starts playing while listening to music in your earphones, would you be impressed? Would you dig it? I don’t think so. Because you can’t see these “cool” solos or strange notes that he adds.
