  • A not-so-quick guide for various aspects of drawing the human eye from imagination. This is the most important feature of the face, and if you want to draw appealing character faces, you should spend the bulk of your time on eyes.
Let me know what part of the human anatomy you would like to see more information on drawing! Leave your thoughts in the comments below.

You guys are both great. I signed up Udemy courses on art (several fundamentals etc) but there is too much fluff, not enough info I felt like on certain ones. Thanks for all the work you all put into your channels. I consider myself a 'novice' but still am getting my mind blown by you guys.

22:50 that kinda reminds me of a woman i met when i was a kid, me and my friends called her "beautiful eyes lady", and her name was "linda" that means beautiful in portuguese. She had the most crazy eyes we had ever seen, it was really clear the green, blue and yellow on it, even more visible than the painting. She said even she didn't know exactly what her eye color was, but we called it "brazilian color", cuz it had all the colors in our flag. Now i kinda want to draw it, if i can remember.

as someone who absolutely cannot apply things to my art unless i’m given an explanation to exactly HOW and WHY it is that way, this video was really helpful. never been a fan of tutorials or videos who just give one example and say ‘Okay, this is the right way to do it!’ with no further nuance so loved this vid and all the vids on your channel. been a silent follower for years but since i struggle so greatly with eyes this one in particular saved me lolol

You have so much knowledge to share, length is not something I would worry about. In fact, when searching for how to paint eyes, I went for your video because of the thumbnail plus the length. I love in depth tutorials, I don´t want to just copy what you show, I want to understand. Thank you very much for the video!

Sinix boyo! No need to speed things up! I'm sure most of your audience get an art boner by seeing the length of your video. I love your longer form tutorials!

Wow! I love this, the reflections on the eye made me smile so much, it's like watching a magician doing a trick in slow motion, but it's just as impressive once you see the method as it is when it appears to be magic.

When we search on TH-cam for drawing tutorials, most of us are basically forced to do something simmilar as the person shows in the video and then color it like them. This video just does the opposite and it's just awesome!

The colder colors around the eye concentrate in the upper medial (40-yr pro eye illustrator).
Remember the shadow under the upper eyelid, often simplified as a line on the iris.
Breaking the circle of the pupil helps balance its natural attraction. Reflections are white *only at a light source

a nice one, that pops the painting is drawing white line at the bottom side of the eyeball, where it meets the underlid. and painting a white at the tips of the eyelashes as these thin strains of air mostly are visible cuz of reflecting light. not all of them just a few!
