They make the stocks a little proud because of shrinkage over time. Wood shrinks so the make it a little proud. Beautiful rifle. I just bought one in 45/70
Hi! Congrats my friend!! Help me please!!! Is it possible to shoot 45-70 ammo in the 45-90 lever action rifle? Is there a problem? Forgive me, because, my english is very bad!!!
@gustavocunha9793 yes you can. The 45-70 is obviously shorter, the head spacing is the same. I've shot a fair amount of 45-70 is this 45-90 with no issues. Here's a video of me doing it. th-cam.com/video/z64bR1KDQ0Y/w-d-xo.htmlsi=xivIzNUeFInQWNKS
@@LibertysetsquareJack it won't let you. Even if you try, the last 2" of the round won't fit it. All good manufacturers don't let extra rounds fit. Couldn't jam one in there if you tried. Even loading the shorter 45-70, it won't fit an extra round.

@@Dale-q1o Buffalo Arms Co. Buffaloarms.com
They currently have 300gr in stock.
You gotta load your own for this cartridge unless you're rich of course
Just don't try to load nine rounds in the tube.
