I don't necessarily agree with STIPPLING. But, I WOULD say say that adding grip texture is a must. I run the Talon PRO grip tape on my G45. I find it better, simply because if you get a frame stippled and end up not liking it? You're screwed.
I agree with your barrel comment, depending on the application. For personal defense or a fighting gun, stock barrels will always be more accurate than the user. Here reliability is far more important than a 2 inch group at 25 yards.
As a officer the Glock performance trigger we tried but to many issues. So we have to have a minimum 4LB pull. So what I do on duty gun, talon or handle it grips, TruGlo TFX sites and a ghost 3.5 edge connector. I have several Glocks with set up and all function perfect. So basically $150 worth of upgrades. You can spend $1000 on any gun for upgrades and it’s pointless unless you train and do malfunction drills.
I upgraded my barrels to Lone Wolf™ Alpha Wolf threaded barrels for accuracy and the use of various ammunition for example the DOUBLETAP™ 230 Grain hardcast
#1 sights stock ones suck, get some ameriglos at least they're cheaper and are great. #2 extended takedown lever all generations they're way to small and hard to use. #3 red dot if you have the cut or mos use a red dot. #4 Magwell faster reloads and no fumbling. #5 slide stop I like the extended slide stop, older gens are way to small and hardly any ledge, gen 5 seems alot better.
😂 They are TT guns not Glock. There is nothing glock left to them guns. I'll stick with Shadow Systems for my EDC no upgrades needed! Gaston is like Jonh Moses Browning just not as good as an engineer but Shadow Systems is like Colt just made it better!
I've been shooting glocks since the early 90's when I bought my first Glock, a second generation 23. I've also shot thousands and thousands of rounds of ammo and I too ended up making upgrades along the way to my guns. I totally came to the exact same conclusion. You're spot on in my opinion and I hope you keep fighting the platform and keep up the great work!
@rhodycars6058 sights 'might' be an exception. But if it's 'get sights never shoot' or 'get $100 in ammo and get practice' i would recommend getting the practice
I find fiber optics or night sights better than the standard sights. I have a Glock Airsoft, and I even upgraded it. TTI Glock 34 Slide, competition Magwell, TTI Slide Plate, undercut, TTI sights and handmade stippling by myself. I love the TTI guns. And I also installed an extended slide stop.
I have tried most Glock triggers my favorite is a Frankenstein I made from the Johnny Glock timney shoe on a Glock performance trigger system with a different spring in the housing. My creation. 3 lbs no take up audible break and reset. Easy accurate shots and rapid fire. Along with the radian ramjet and I stippled my own grips and had my 19x milled for the trijicon rmr. I have a few shorts about it. I love Glocks for this reason. The customization is endless IMO. Optic trigger stippling and undercut and radian if you have the change. It’s not worth $400 unless you shoot a lot and this is your thing.
I have a G5 Glock 17. The only thing I want to change is to have a rear sight that is tight with the front sight. The "extra" room around the front sight that the rear sight has, makes it harder to get it correctly aimed. I am used to a tight front/rear sight alignment.
Do you think a red dot optic will be ok to put on a Glock with the orange front ameriglo sights? Or do you think it will interfere with picking up the dot?
Glock has too many of yall convinced it’s a perfect gun, and refused to innovate for 40 years. There are half a dozen manufacturers making Glock clones that have the same reliability, better ergonomics, use Glock parts, and are HALF the price. Don’t get brainwashed by a brand name.
Working so hard to turn a glock into something else. Get a Walther, get a sig, get a smith. Get a cz. Any number of other companies have done things to improve past what a standard glock is. That being said, I did some of that stuff too.
I purchased a Kiger 9c pro which is basically a glock. It uses all glock parts. My upgrades are magwell ext, flat trigger, takedown pin (slightly larger), front fiber optic sight left back as is sandpaper grit on front and back of grip. Shoots well and looks great.
I agree with all of your suggestions. Id only add one more, probably the most important #6 Trade it in for a Sig Sauer Kidding......I kid. Great video, and this is coming from a non-Glock owner PS. the Glock you bought yourself for your 40th is the tits!! It is just perfect looking
Solid list. Just gonna say it, the TTI G19 Combat Carry is essentially my dream gun. But for now starting with a base Gen 5 G19 with some handle it grips as my first pistol to learn and train with. Maybe down the road I can get a TTi Gun.
I changed the recoil guide rod on one of my Glocks, the 19, to a stainless steel rod. But, I paid attention to the spring weight, because I know 9mm can be picky on spring weight.
If it's a carry Glock, night sights, if it's a bedside Glock, night sights, and a tac light. I don't have an interest in any of the other stuff. To each their own. 🤙
@@Andrew-on5do 19 still has the barrel, but that’s why Glock doesn’t make them. You can shave one of the mags and they’ll fit. There’s a video somewhere about it.
Best upgrade for a Glock is M&P. As someone who has had 5 glocks. As well as 5 m&ps. While the Glock is reliable and will get the job done the m&p will also and is just as reliable if not more. And it'll do it with more comfort, speed, and accuracy. I like Glock. But M&P is just so much better. CZp10 and PDP also better than Glock.
43x mos is super slippery! Had to get my stipple. I also ported my slide and barrel with magna port, got a white light, red dot and upgraded to suppressor height night sights. Almost forgot got that 1911 Johnny Glock trigger
Trigger or trigger bar and sights are the two upgrades that will make the biggest difference for most shooters. Everything else would only have real value to someone with a lot of trigger time.
How about instead of just small, medium, and large, give the option to change grip angle like Shadow Systems. And metal sights from the factory. Also the option for an ergonomic, well functioning manual safety. Preferably right hand only since left handers don't matter. And maybe a factory comped pistol that blows away from the optic like S&W. And plateless direct mount optic cut. Undercut trigger guard.
So, why bother at all with the antiquated and underequipped Glock. Just buy one of the highly respected clones like shadow systems That has everything you mentioned, and more, plus save work, save time, save money, and decrease the likelihood of tolerance stacking. This is a great video you made, but it just tells you how obscenely behind the times Glock is!
That’s why I buy a sig SAUER and you no have to spend money 😂sig is the real deal 😂😂if you buy a Glock you have to spend in all that stuff …thanks Kaya 😂😂😂
Just leave it alone! Throw some night sights, maybe a dot and a light. Start upgrading everything and you will have a better chance of failures. But hey, it’s your life!

When I finally upgraded my glock....it turned into a M&P M2.0 😉🤷🏾♂
Here is Glock perfection! Now change all these things they refuse to…
Upgrading things like the trigger or adding enhanced sights can make a noticeable difference, especially for those who carry or train regularly.
When i bought a Glock, i bought the one with Ameriglo sights. Slapped a Streamlight TRL1 HL. Done.
That's exactly how I set my G17 up.

Im on “team stock”, when it comes to my Glocks. Besides Red Dots and flashlight, i leave ole faithfuls alone. 🤷🏻♂️
Light and optic on all my Glocks. That's all I've ever really needed.
Try a tactical pontoon trigger. You will never go back.
you got any idea what sights he using on the tt combat master, its huge cant find it.

I recommend not doing any upgrades until you've got about 2000 rounds through it. Spend your money on ammo and training before you 'upgrade' the gun
If you want a night/high vis sight why wait for 2000 rounds? Stock plastic sights are mediocre at best.
@rhodycars6058 sights 'might' be an exception. But if it's 'get sights never shoot' or 'get $100 in ammo and get practice' i would recommend getting the practice
Trijicon night sights
Extended slide release
Ext slide lock/take down lever
Extended mag release
Stippling or talon grips if budget is a issue
Or buy a Shadow System ! greetings from austria
Very helpful, thanks
I agree about barrels, but doesn't the gen 5 models come with match barrels anyway?
Bring back Clent

How about just keep it stock then buy one of the many striker fire pistols that already have all the add-ons? 🤔 Canik Mete comes to mind...
Vickers slide release is bae. Glock OEM Steel night sights are bae.
Great info hope to see more
Never stippling again! My 19, 20, 21 and 43x are all 60/90 epoxied silicon carbide. Can't beat the grip!!!!
Just buy the tti already save 5 minutes

What is your preference on the new style internal pivoting safety on the timney trigger

What’s a good threaded barrel for 45 cal g30s
We just putting that Aliexpress button on the back. The only upgrade that you need.

There are places that sell the slim double stacks.

The best upgrade can be found at your local gun shops. Take your glock in, trade it in, and upgrade it.

The best upgrade is to sell it and get something that isn’t a block of featureless plastic.
