If this routine is working for you then awesome👍🏻but I want to mention a few things based on what dermatologists have said many times...1st, if you have oily skin, it is ok to wash your face twice, because removing some of the oil that's sitting on top of your skin can help your skin care products penetrate your skin better. You can have two cleansers (a foaming cleanser for when you're taking off makeup and sunscreen, and a gentle non foaming cleanser for days when you don't or for mornings) If you're going to only wash once, you should do so at night. Not in the morning. 2nd, You should wash your face after using an eye makeup remover or micellar water. Micellar water does not replace a cleanser, and you do not want to leave those ingredients on your skin after using it. Micellar water or cleansing balms are the FIRST step in removing makeup or sunscreen. But you still need to wash your face afterwards. 3rd when using a Jade roller make sure to clean and disinfect it before every use because otherwise you're transferring bacteria from one part or your face to another, and that can cause breakouts. 4th consider integrating a chemical exfoliator into your routine once a week instead of using harsh scrubs or peeling masks , and using a retinoid like Adapalene (Differin) at night. Also...best tip I've ever gotten from a derm... don't dry your face after washing. Put your moisturizer and/ or serums on wet or damp skin. That way you avoid transepidermal water loss and your products penetrate deeper. Oh and sunscreen. You need to use a lot more. Hope this helps in any way.

thank you for the in depth feedback! really appreciate it!!
regarding the jade roller-yesss, i did wash it after use but may have forgotten to mention it oops
i haven’t yet integrated retinoids into my routine as personally, i would like to wait until i’m a little bit older before starting to use it across my face

You totally can wash your face twice a day, just depends on the person. Also with sunscreen, you need to apply at least two fingerlenghts to actually get the SPF that it says

with washing your face twice a day, i agree that it depends from person to person. personally, when i properly washed my face twice a day i was still getting bad breakouts. it wasn’t until a friend suggested just using micellar water for cleansing my skin at night (while keeping the rest of my routine the same) did my skin fully clear up. maybe it’s my face wash that’s too harsh, but using a foaming cleanser in the morning and micellar water at night, which still means i’m cleansing my skin twice a day but with different methods, was what i found worked best for me!
and for spf - i actually didn’t know that so thank you!

@@SimranSawhney Honestly same thing here, I have super dry skin, so washing my face twice a day for me would also be super stripping to my skin. Also with Sunscreen its generally always better to apply a little bit more than you need rather than applying too little
