I have an XS Max and tested mine on the apps I have versus your video starting with the weather app - and mine was fully loaded before either of yours loaded. I don't have enough of the same apps to do your whole process but I was so happy. Mine was fully loaded and yours hadn't started yet.
I still have my XS Max. It is a fabulous phone even now. Watching these speed tests, other than turning the phone on, I doubt I would even notice the extra second or two that some things might take. I play a lot of games on my phone and that extra second is when I take a sip on my seltzer water.

I've been using xs max for a long time, today I saw 14 pro with a friend of mine and had the opportunity to play around a bit. It has a great camera, but if you're a daily phone user like me, I can still tell you that the xs max is an incredible phone. I generally use social media, whatsapp, sometimes for my bank work and calls, and Siri, it makes my life easier while driving, I'm not a photo shooter, but the camera more than meets my needs. Believe me I had a hard time finding a reason to upgrade my phone. If you don't play games and photography isn't very important to you, I think it's enough even these days when we're about to enter 2023.
Normal user need, Good Display, camera, battery, connectivity, and sound…But in XS Max didn’t..😢

I am commenting 8 months later and still love my XS Max. I look every year and agree that so far there hasn't been any reason to upgrade. I am probably going to hang onto it until about the 16. When stacked batteries come and the dynamic island is gone. Then I will switch. But it is such a great phone that I don't have to.
XS is one of the Best iPhone That Apple ever made .

@@Usario321 better is a relative term. do you not like the apple ecosystem? do you give two shits about audio quality? do you want to move apps on your home screen? do you dislike the company? do you dislike that everything is proprietary and very expensive? if any of that is true, chances are 'iPhone is better (for me)' is not a correct statement/at least iPhone i not the best at everything. Like with any subject there are strengths and weaknesses.

Apple’s chips have been blazing fast for a very long time now. People won’t notice too much of a difference in processor speed. Internet connection & some features(larger battery, UWB for AirTags etc) are what they’ll notice.

Its because the new processors are not that much different from the old one .and on past the situation is different the new phones are faster and older are slower then the truth has been revealed that they intentionally reduces the speed of old devices by giving an update

I am using my xs max from 2018, and I am considering whether I should upgrade it. The current phone is still running okay, but I can see the 14 pro max is a bit faster. @@tranhailinhvt I am still using the iPhone 7 and it runs great apart from the battery which has been very degraded but I can replace it so no issue for me. If I replace my battery then I can easily use this phone for one more year at least

При сворачивании некоторых приложений всё же наблюдается небольшие торможения анимации, телефон доживает свои последние годы поддержки
т.е явная нехватка оперативки тебя не смущает? в конце теста он пошел по второму кругу на тех же приложениях. У 14 айфона все работает и ничего не пришлось загружать заново, а у 10 про макс уже проблемы начались с тяжелыми играми, т.к места в памяти не хватило
На 14 про 120 герц. На практике он все же ощутимо плавнее
I have a Xs max and although it seems to keep up with normal tasks very well, as soon as the processor gets a bit of load it starts to heat up and throttle so the good performance never lasts more than 5 mins. For this reason I might upgrade to the 14 pm. However if you only use your phone for socials and basic tasks Xs is really great.
Xs max iOS 15 - very good
Change out the battery. I did and it doesn’t heat up anymore . I have the XS Regular
It seems so….until the point they heat up they still keep up with the latest flagships

Just bought a re-new 512G XS Max (new case / new battery) for my kids past month. I think 14pm is about 30-50% faster with a 3.5x price.
Even an iPhone 8 still relatively quick.. it’s batteries that become the issue for me.

look when he closes the apps, look at the thing he pulls up to close the app, you can see on the 14 it goes up like butter, on the xs max it goes after a bit of time, the xs max is slow and it is only getting slower.
