Good tutorial! I also used isopropyl alcohol to remove acrylic paint instead of nail polish remover. It needs to soak longer, depending on how old the previous paint job is, but it worked for me. Cheers!
Possibly regarding the spray acrylic - maybe test it on something unimportant first. This was Revell acrylic I believe. Nail polish and varnish remover is the same stuff I think, just people call it different names. It's the lack of acetone which is important here.
I use Dettol Disinfectant to strip paint off die-cast metal cars etc. I then strain the liquid through a sieve to catch all the flaked off paint and use a funnel to put the Dettol back in its bottle.
After cleaning a wipe down with alcohol wipes helps before primer is applied, nice video
Thank you Sarah! Good call, I've pinned this 👍
Gotta love these kinds of vids. Straight to it. A few tips and warnings along the way.

What brand did you use to remove this acrylic paint from plastic model
I can't remember as it was just what we had in the house. It has to be acetone free nail polish remover.
@@BOABModels Yea. i used acetone before seeing this video and noticed it damaged the plastic.
Another amazing and helpful video
Thanks a lot! Glad you liked it! 👍
Nice tip Thomas
Thanks, Justin. The kit was perfect apart from these bits so I wanted to give it a reset before I started!
Great video
Thank you it worked very well
You're welcome - glad to help.
2 questions. Will this work for spray can acrylic such as Halfords? Is nail polish remover the same as nail varnish remover(without acetone)?

I'm wondering of brake fluid would work
Yeah I've seen people use brake fluid to strip paint but I don't have any so haven't tried it.
Good Idea 👍but pity of you dumping the paint and cleaner down the drain 👎
Yeah, I have realised I shouldn't have done that. Not done it again since.
@@BOABModels Good to.see that and thank you
