There's a difference between sledging and friendly banter. Australia's matches involves sledging which is personal and racial most of the times which is not on. Cricket only has place for friendly banter, not sledging.
If sledging is restricted to calling the opponent a bad batsman or bad bowler or something along those lines, i'm fine with that. It is ugly and cannot be justified when it goes beyond that. What baffles me the most is how the Australians after having ripped their opponent's personal life apart on the field put up a friendly face to greet them outside the field and call it "sportsmanship". If your mind is capable of stooping that low to get things done then it means you are inherently a bad person and all that sportsmanship is mere facade.

We do not develop our translation industry because we keep switching to English. It can provide employment to lot of people. We need a rethink on language as I am not saying that all should accept Hindi but I am saying that wherever possible they should first say in their own language and if they want to translate because of people like Johnty then they can repeat the same in English. All these channels should have in their video department, a translation department which should translate everything that is spoken whether or not any one repeats the same in English. My feeling is that it will encourage people to be more precise in stating exactly what they desire. They won't be able to claim when controversy happens that they did not mean what they were saying as English is not their first language. Moreover, more people will be able to enjoy these cricketers if they were to speak in their own languages. Their influence can then go everywhere including in rural hinterland. People will be more proud of them. Unity does not come because of all speaking English but it will come by allowing all languages to be spoken at the same time. All will then be taking pride in other languages too. It will be proving to the world that we can be one people in spite of so many languages going together simultaneously. Anchoring will become quite a task then.
