I am a singer of Persian Classical music. I have been immersed in music all my life. Both my parents were good singers, so I heard a lot of singing as I was growing up. Later, I began the study of Persian Classical music with Maestro Mahmoud Karimi in Tehran. Also, a big fan of Indian Classical music, I have attended a great many live concerts of Indian Classical. Italian Opera and Jazz have been dear to my heart. In 1988 I was introduced to a female Sufi Master, Sheikha Fatima Fariha. Once I joined the Jerrahiya Sufi Order, I discovered Turkish Classical music through the sacred chants. All of this said, if they were to tell me that, for the rest of my life I can choose only one performance to listen to, this magnificent performance would be my choice! Love it!
Recently I watched one movie released in my mother tongue Malayalam. The songs especially the music was excellent. While searching about Sufi I reached in this video and I realized how beautiful it is.
