When I clicked on the Video I thought "hey, shouldn't be the baby be there by now"... so glad everything went fine, and huge congratulations. I just got my two and a half year old daughter to sleep after a huge argument on not so sleep "nackig" 😂😂 Enjoy the time and soak up every moment. It's just the best thing in the world and I'm happy you're feeling the same as I did. Time will fly by so much faster now but it just keeps getting better.
I'm astonished Matt, I did not know that such an extensive repair was possible. I'm now thinking back over the years to some of my similar, favourite and best jeans that I've ended up binning to make space for new ones. Fuuucccckkkkkk! I'll save his link for sure. Dutch denim-guys are really good (Benzak Denim Lennaert Nijgh and Edwin from Dutch Denim Repairs), I am glad I am a part of the Dutch denimscene living in the Netherlands and do my own repairs on all my jeans since 1978.

Oh my goodness!!! CONGRATULATIONS!!! I broke down crying once you started to get choked up talking about your beautiful baby girl and your champion wife! Secondary to that, THANK YOU for posting THIS video! My husband ripped the crotch of his jeans and asked me to fix them... that is something I never had any knowledge of needed to look up... do you know if any fabric or interfacing was placed on the interior of your jeans? Once again, congratulations on becoming a father! 😍😍😍
Awww thank you 😊. She’s an absolute delight. I could not be a more proud papa. As for the repairs. I don’t think any other fabric was used. I do remember having a pair repaired at another place. They used some kind of webbing to reinforce things and not as much thread. Worked ok. But not as nice as this.
you should check out COF Studios denim, I don’t know much about it but it’s my first pair of raw/selvedge denim. absolutely amazing jeans, I believe it’s Italian denim and made in Portugal or something like that, similar to benzak maybe? I’m a gym goer so I’ve got big thighs and rear end, the M3 Regular Taper is a great fit. Don’t know if they will fade well but the black on black with the red/white selvedge ID caught my eye.
