Love the looks of the MKM TPF. The handle reminds me so much of the old Gerber Yari, which in my opinion, allthough it has a tactical look, it is one of the best flat ground (nearly full flat grind) outdoor knives ever made. Too bad Gerber no longer makes it. I've been using mine for carving and camp chores for a couple decades. The older BM Nimravus is similar but the handle is too thin for serious outdoor use. Had to order the MKM which should fill an EDC niche well. I prefer horizontal belt carry so I ordered the kydex sheath as well.
Which version of the mkm did you get? I was going to get the wood handles but I like the stonewash finish of the g10 more so I got that instead. Just waiting on the kydex sheath to come back in stock
I got the one with green micarta and no blade coating. I prefer uncoated blades in stainless and in carbon. I once made the mistake of thinking my blades are safe when they are coated. Surprise, surprise, but I have to call you on the benchmade. It may be the best knife of that category. But certainly not because it's the best cutter. I live on a farm. I can agree with maybe 3...what odd choices. BOUGHT N PAID FOR
Really wanted to keep the CRKT Redemption...but it could get me into trouble. If it even had a flipper tab or a nail nick that would make it fine

DCA- got your Christmas shape up. Nice!!
