    Great Video Jerry! Question - can I connect my mixer with sub and sub’s output as input to alto transmitter for my k12 to receive transmission? TIA!

    • @gfire_productions
      @gfire_productions  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes, any audio output source can be put into the alto stealth from your mixer but would need the correct adapter if it's not an XLR out from your mixer.
      Example number 1: I have a Behringer XR18 mixer and every single one of the "sub" or "aux" outs are XLR so I can run that output directly into an alto stealth transmitter input with a simple male to female XLR cable.
      Example number 2: I have a Yamaha MG 10 XU and the aux outs are quarter inch so I would need to get a quarter inch cable to XLR to the input of the Alto Stealth transmitter.
      Does that help???

      @@jdavis8460 I've never owned any Sennheiser microphones or body packs. I use the Shure QLXD systems. I usually preferred a wired sound system but sometimes that's just impractical when it comes to remote speakers at that distance so I thought Alto Stealth was the better solution. So far it's a great system for me. I will be making other videos with different scenarios with the Stealth Pro.

    Can you hear any interference or hiss sound in low volumes? And also do you notice any degradation, like does it sound radio ish if you know what I mean?

      And I've only noticed that when I push the limits of its range during test I so I'll pull them in closer. Otherwise, I mostly have a clean signal by doing a new frequency scan at every single event.

    Trying to decide between the Alto Professional Stealth MKII ($399) and the Alto Professional Stealth Pro shown in this video ($749). Any significant difference in performance between the two?

    • @gfire_productions
      @gfire_productions  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      For me it was mainly the antenna. Having two antennas makes it true diversity means if the signal is lost on one antenna for the other antenna automatically picks up. When you have systems with only one antenna, if there's an interruption you lose signal. Also the MKII has 20 Chanels vs Stealth Pro has 700 + Channels.

    I used mine last night and started getting intermittent scratching sounds. I made sure to scan and sync correctly and still got them. Had to turn off the speaker. I know you mentioned something about the squelch function, am I doing something wrong?

    • @gfire_productions
      @gfire_productions  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Here's what I have learned so far. I use to scan both of my receivers but the transmitter would not be turned on and it was sent a static sound through the speakers. Once I turned on the transmitter and set the channel to the receiver channels, the static went away.
      In another scenario I would scan a receiver and wait to see if I hear static noise. If I heard a static noise I would squelch up one level at a time until the static noise goes away. I would then go and turn on my transmitter and set it to the receiver channels. I've been pretty successful since I've Learned about the squelch feature.

    Do you set your Stealth Pro Wireless transmitters in the same group as wireless Microphones?

    • @gfire_productions
      @gfire_productions  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Stealth is in the 540-570 and my mics are 470-533 range. They do not interfere with each other.

  • @ErichWK
    @ErichWK 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    Have you ever dealt with volume drops with this? I got the Stealth MKII and used a gig with it, but as the night went on the Volume drops got worse and worse worse. (they receivers were about 65 feet away from the transmitter and staring directly at it)

    • @gfire_productions
      @gfire_productions  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I've only experienced something like that a very long time ago when I first got the system. The most part is really solid for me. I always do a scan and every single event because I also use wireless microphones. Another good thing to do is check to see if other DJs or someone that could be causing interference. Sometimes sometimes videographers use wireless stuff so always do a scan and try to be the last one to scan everything.

    • @ErichWK

      @@gfire_productions This restaurant I'm spinning vinyl for is new to the whole live DJ thing, so their sound system is on the other side of where they want me to play. I used this and had a ton of audio drop outs..I wonder if it's because people were walking in front of it?

    • @gfire_productions
      @gfire_productions  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@ErichWK All wireless has limitations. If there we a lot of obstacles between the transmitter and receiver it could be the issue. Also you must always scan for a new frequency when in a new area. To optimize the system, I'd ensure to have a straight line between the transmitter and receiver. All wireless systems are environment dependent. Notice when I use it in the video I have more of a direct transmission between the transmitter and the receiver.
