Advice for breastplates: You could try a breastgirth with a martingale over the top. The breastgirth is much less restrictive and stops the saddle slipping back but you know what’s best for your horses, so don’t feel like you have to try it. 😁

Love your Videos!! There's a thing called an Irish martingale it's a piece of leather that only attaches at the reins and nothing around the horses neck to restrict them, premier equine sell them 😁

Have a number of horses we inject with different serums for different reasons (and some awesome vets who guide us!) but curious to hear your take/process because cartrophen isn't one we've used! Thinking about a 14 y/o 1.20 jumper mare with fusing hocks. All the best for you, "Hobbit", and the ponies!

I use yoghurt to cool my unintentional hot 'n' spicy food down with. Your Mum's breakfast omelette and hash-browns looked yummy, if a bit singed! Lovely to see how chilled Pete is in your first house and I love your kitchen guys. My curries would get la lot lower than 7.5! Please could you show us how to tie those toggle laces on your hoodie in your next video? T-i-a.

I have always used a breastplate on my mare- her saddle doesn't tend to slip but she loves taking the "long stride" so its just a bit of extra support. I can only really see the breastplate restricting movement if its far too tight which yours is not and the only negative which you already touched upon is that if the strap between the legs are too long then the horse can get caught up. Apart from that dont worry about it!

Here's a question: Right now the horses that are most active in eventing are Jam and Dee, with Jam being your superstar. Which of your ponies do you see as up and coming? Jam of course has a long time left to jump, but Dee is probably only a few years from retirement due to her arthritis. So which of your ponies do you see as being able to develop as eventers? Would you buy an entirely different pony for eventing?
