This song was apparently dedicated to one of the band's very close and dear friends who used to accompany them on their tours and used to make memorabilia for the band. He was since killed in riots in Belfast. Spandau Ballet wrote this song in his memory. What better way to remember a dear friend than writing and singing a love ballet of the love of a protestant girl with a Catholic boy. Wait was it the other way round? Who cares !!! Great vocals. Amazing song writing from the heart equally great rhythm.

I went to this concert as a 13 year old and afterwads lost my voice for a week with Laryngitis! I was so in love with Tony Hadley (still am!)💋 His voice is just as amazing live as it is on their albums 💖.

Underrated?! Hit after hit after hit, in the eighties. They're one of the most successful bands of that era and, at the time, they were the only white act to be invited to appear on Soultrain. So not really Underrated

It sounds like he’s lip syncing. But no, it’s his real singing voice. That’s why he’s one of the best singers i love. Many singers don’t sound like they do in their live performances than in their songs.
And btw Tony still sounds good today, just like before. What a talented man

A couple of years ago, Tony sang this song live on the local radio station (Wave 105) and it was just as good. He admitted that he had to tone his voice down a bit because the last time he sang live on that radio station he almost blew some of the broadcasting equipment.
