When they first switched from Tommy to Dan, it felt like they were trying to just copy the old and push out the politics, but now he is coming into his own and has such a wider vocal style. It's awesome. Been loving the new music.
Dear Monsters was written for Tommy to sing, so DL was just doing Tommy's performance. You can definitely hear his influence over the recent songs though, and I hope it continues

DL smokes tommy and has a much wider range and sings far more live than tommy ever did. And I saw them live with Tommy too and I could tell he wasn’t singing a lot of the cleans live. This band is better off without his toxicity and anger problems.
