This was my first gunpla kit. My local EB Games had it and I bought it as I was always interested in gunpla, but never built them. I'm glad I did as now I have built close to 20 other kits, and love building gunpla (I should probably watch seed at some point)
@@mr.mooseman8558 I don't get what's the deal with seed, for destiny I can see, but even so, it's getting too much hate than what it deserves. For me anyway I don't see any problem at all. And for destiny, it's fine, just seemed a bit "lost" in it's style of storytelling.
@@Noobnormality simply put the storytelling is meh at best and at times kira yamato is a really crappy person, and to be completely honest none of the endings satisfied me. Although I still have to watch stargazer and the astray series.
@@mr.mooseman8558 I can definitely agree that kira can sometimes do something awkward, especially on destiny, bit I really don't see anything wrong with the storytelling. The endings, I cant tell about destiny's ending since I haven't finished it, but I have one gripe for seed's ending, and that is the fact that the epic battle between kira and rau has NOTHING to do with the entire battle at all, but the rest is good. But I quite enjoyed seed, the storytelling is pretty solid, although I gotta admit I felt a bit awkward watching destiny.
I only have one single gripe with my own HG Destiny; his ankles are super weak, and he keeps wanting to fall over when standing. Not a huge deal, I can just pop the legs open and reinforce those polycaps with a thin coat of topcoat or superglue on their pivots, but still annoying. Also, the black on the wings scuffs super easy if you're someone who sands down their nubs, which I do, and it ended up being somewhat off grey in a couple places on mine. Still, not a super big deal. Over all its a great kit, and looks awesome on my shelf.
I was given this kit and it’s been fun to build so far. I can already tell that the chest is going to be better than the Strike Freedom, that kit has issues with holding up the backpack. The last kit I built was the RG Force Impulse and I’ve been spreading the stickers across my other kits. The HG Destiny is looking a lot better with some decals already. It looks kinda plain without any.
i wished i knew the revive exists before buying the RG. the RG detailing is great, but the flimsy joints out of the box is just a pain and i had to tighten them up to be able to stand and hold weapons and its upper body.
I have for the RG, HG, and MG. I gotta say the HG might be my favorite, it's super fun to play around with. The RG is a floppy mess (but it does look great) and the MG is decent but really needs a 2.0. Love your videos btw!

Xun Nian Its essentially the metal build in model kit form. the problempart is the shoulders. since the parts are metal in the original joints, they are smaller and tighter to take advantage of the material. In this kit they are plastic. i had to sand down a few pegs so they fit. altermativly you can put the parts in water that you took off the stove after boiling. outside of the shoulders amd the abb crunch though the fit is perfect. you wont have any issues with the armor

It is objectively better than the rg, it can stand up better, better joints and includes the wing effect. heck it can even stand with the wing effect. only the beam rifle is a bit more boring than rg. also I kinda feel like the beam shield fits better being upside down
I would not have gotten this if the effect parts didn't come in the box. I have mine standing on its own with the wing effects, just take one leg forward to distribute the weight, it actually was not that hard.
I would rather not have to pay more for a stand that I don't need mine stands perfectly without one, if I want to pay for a stand I'll buy it separately.
Unpopular opinion, but I dislike when kits include the 4-piece runnerless stand since I find it completely useless. I would much rather get less necessary effect parts like the beam boomerang and just buy an actual good stand. The 00 Sky was great since it included an actual action base 5 plus all the effect parts.
I love the Destiny's design. But it has way to many problems (mine atleast): -I can't remove the backpack without tearing the whole torso apart -The beamshield/beam rifle(buttflap) won't stay attached -The left shoulder is super stiff to the point where I can't pose the arm without popping it off...
For me, the only issue I had was that the ball joint in the torso was too big so I almost tore the plastic. Fortunately, I was able to sand it down so it works fine now
Thanks for showcasing what all the kit can do. Now I know what exactly I can get away with and what has to be modified for my plan with this kit. (I'm gonna destroy the shit out of it for a diorama. Might have the Windam stand victorious over the Destiny, not 100% sure yet)
I wonder if the effect parts for the figur rise figures from dbz would work with his hands(or could be made to work with them)... Let Destiny throw off a kamehameha...
I'm currently building one of these and all I can say so far it's the worse model I have ever attempted. The instructions are difficult to see and follow (half the time it feels like I'm just trying to see what fits), but I do like how they break them down into marked body sections and the red parts feel cheap and soft and don't fit very well and are too loose. This is only my second gunpla (the first was the 08th Team Ez8 which went together much better) but if this is any indication of what to expect from other HG kits I think it may be my last!
I dunno what went wrong but the kit is solid. I didn’t have issues and haven’t heard of any common issues. Most HG kits are similarly fine, from a snap-build perspective. Bandai is well known for their top quality
