Cleverly assembled flick. Fun to watch. Definitely for fans of Sean Connery's version of James Bond. Almost like unearthing a recently discovered, lost Connery gem.
Orson Welles fits amazingly well as Le Chiffre, I would kill to visit an alternate universe where him and Connery are in an early adaption of Casino Royale
Orson was great in this small role it would have been smart to put Welles in Diamonds Are Forever have him play the real Blofeld or a different one that would have been fun to see.
My question is: Now with all this AI / CGI / Whatever other letters follow all that, "Will you be able to actually do a movie with those chosen cast members and make it look realistic?" Because if you really can, I WILL PAY GOOD MONEY TO ACTUALLY SEE THIS FILM! Think of the money you'd make! People would probably FORCE YOU to take their money! You would give Hollywood the biggest black eye in history! Talk about a "License to Thrill!"
This was awesome, great work, great video. I did but hardly notice the clips sometimes being decades apart, this was simply a good story but with Sean Connery instead. Very entertaining.
Interesting take on making the 1967 version of Casino Royale a serious film with Connery. I happen to be a big fan of the Parody version and enjoy it for the very silly film it is.
This is exquisite editing...if one didn't know better, you would believed this to be the actual scene from CR. My compliments on your skills as an editor.
@@michaelschulz9164 haha.. Well , I'll meet you halfway. I think Terrence Cooper might have been half decent. I only count Connery & Lazenby as true Bond portrayals.
@@richardlord4435 That was the American version right? There was an episode of Basil Rathbones Sherlock Holmes, (I can't remember which one unfortunately), but it pretty much was definitely copied by Flemming. I remember commenting on it on youtube some time back.
I love this movie now. Although, when I was a kid, we hated it. I would love to see a totally AI Sean Connery redo of this movie to the original book. Awesome! God I miss him, Orson Welles, and Peter Sellers to boot!
Well done! Following on from my last Sean Connery project, Connery returns as Ian Fleming’s James Bond in the unofficial 1967 Casino Royale instead of David Niven and Peter Sellers Footage: Dr. No (1962) Goldfinger (1964) Woman Of Straw (1964) Thunderball (1965) A Fine Madness (1966) Casino Royale (1967) Never Say Never Again (1983) Casino Royale (2006) Audio From: Dr. No (1962) Thunderball (1965)
I find it slightly bizarre that out of the three blokes who've played Le Chiffre, the least famous one is the one from the actual Casino Royale film. Don't get me wrong, I love Mads Mikkelsen, but the fact the previous two LeChiffres were Peter Lorre and Orson Welles is just insane.
As several people stated, there was never a Casino Royale movie in the 60ies with Sean Connery, but yes another, competing film under this title, starring David Niven. Nevertheless this clip is very well done.
There was plan to hire connery for 1967 casino royale and make it serious but they thought they will go overbudget.they anyways spent far more than that, what a missed opportunity
Despite being a bit of a production mess, I actually liked the 67 version with Peter Sellers as Bond. Great job splicing Connery in to the parts that Peter Sellers played during the card game. The blonde Baker twins were looking as good as ever.
Casino Royale is a 1967 spy parody comedy film originally distributed by Columbia Pictures featuring an ensemble cast. It is loosely based on the 1953 novel of the same name by Ian Fleming, the first novel to feature the character James Bond. The film stars David Niven as the "original" Bond, Sir James Bond 007. Buzz Dixon sent me here! Remarkable job editing the scene together. Only change I'd make is some incidental/background sound effects during the silent sections, just to keep it from being so jarring.
The game was against Peter Sellers in the spoof. He and Orsen were fighting and he refused to be on set at the same time. So you never see the two of them together in one shot.
Cleverly assembled flick. Fun to watch. Definitely for fans of Sean Connery's version of James Bond. Almost like unearthing a recently discovered, lost Connery gem.
If Sean Connery had been James Bond in this movie, there would be no question about how great it would be
Orson Welles fits amazingly well as Le Chiffre, I would kill to visit an alternate universe where him and Connery are in an early adaption of Casino Royale
But David Nivem Rules
Personally I think Peter Lorre in the original 1954 is the most accurate version to the original Fleming book version.
@Jay Hmmm not exactly I would say, Mads is younger and more suave compared to Lorre's distinctive appearance and persona.
Ian Fleming actually described Bond as resembling Hoagy Carmichael (the songwriter who also did some acting, usually behind the piano).
Very nearly had Welles as Auric Goldfinger. He wanted too much money, though.
In 57yrs old and Sean Connery will always be the best Bond… grew up watching watching him as 007!
Connery n'a jamais été surpassé ni même égalé.
Great fun. Thanks. You have to be a connoisseur to appreciate its finer points. Love how SC’s age varies from shot to shot.
Sean Connery and Ursula Address in Casino Royale, its like a reunion since Dr No
A 1960's version of Casino Royale made by Eon with Connery as Bond would have been awesome.
Yes !
Didn't the Bond producers do this version of Casino Royale but couldn't get Mr Connery to be in it?
Far awesome. It'll be totally legit.
@@geraldstephens6612 No, the 1967 Casino Royale is a parody film completely separate from the official series by EON Productions.
Sean Connery is the true Bond
VERY well done. The casino scene is seamless..... very artfully...I love it ! (...great to see the Baker twins. EON should have used them somewhere.)
Wonderful fanvid for a dedicated Sean Connery ,James Bond 007 fan !
Connery and Craig have a Bond in common... 😎
Sean looked a hundred times better in never say never than he did in diamonds despite being 12 years older
I agree!😊❤
Yes he really did!!
Connery looked like Alabama governor George C. Wallace in DAF.
He was certainly more engaged than in thundeball or yolt
@@ebismusic8813He was fine in Thunderball. He was mailing it in in DAF.
Watching this reminds me that Connery was the best Bond by far.
I didn't want this movie to end.
A little gem...thank you...
I even thought I saw Jonathan Routh as a heavy kidnapping Ursula Andress playing Vesper Lynd!
Wonderful!
You did see him.
That’s quite interesting how those two different scenes cut together so well
Orson was great in this small role it would have been smart to put Welles in Diamonds Are Forever have him play the real Blofeld or a different one that would have been fun to see.
It’s like watching an all new Bond film 🤗

I like how it stays true to the original game of Baccarat, as it was in the novel.

That Thunderball set is excellent.

Cleverly compiled jewel. I love it being a big fan of Connery and the David Niven's version of the Casino Royale.
Sean Connery a natural actor
haha! awesome edit!! Sean Connery with Orson Welles would have been awesome!
well gee whiz uncle Inferno, you sure did knit together a whole new dip into that beloved, long lost cinema of my childhood, thank you
That was awesome. I loved Sean Connery as 007. To be fair, Daniel Craig wasn't too shabby either. I will miss them both for very different reasons.
You Sir, are the best 007 ever.
I would have loved to have seen Welles as a Bond baddie.
Best bond ever RIP Sean you really left your Mark

chic murray and sean connery in a film that would been something else

Thanks so much
A very clever edit/mashup Thanks
The music still kills it
What do you mean kills it? It’s the main theme from the movie
Sean Connery is very cool 007
Orsen was a powerhouse of an actor with a brilliant voice
Great editing, seamless--Connery THEE Bond 007
Excellently done. Great editing! Connery, wonderfully splendid as James Bond!.❤❤❤
THIS IS COMPLETELY AWESOME!!!!!
I laughed when they both had the shoe and dealt each other simultaneously
Nice put together film. 0:20 twins I would have liked to have seen the old lady Nazi with the Schmeisser blasting away at Bond.
Nicely done.
“DimWits”, the last car chase scene is from “GoldFinger”! ! !
This would have been perfect!!!! They should've made a Casino Royale in Connerys tenure.
Nooo.... then we would have missed out on Woody Allen as Jimmy Bond ....the nephew

Bien joué ✌️. Vous avez mis Sean dans le rôle à la place de David Niven. Bien réalisé . On voit le trucage mais cela paraît plausible . Bravo 😇
But Peter Sellers was Bond in this scene.
Very clever. Except for Connery’s wig changes. This is nearly seamless.

True!
Orson/Le Chiffre: 'Mwaha! The Scots...'
This is absolutely amazing. Playing at a PC or cell phone near you.
Awesome job man, though it would have been tough to film Casino Royale and You Only Live Twice at the same time for Sean Connery
Splendid 😄!

Dr. No, Goldfinger, and Thunder all. It’s a real shame it wasn’t made. Would have been great
There were a plethora of Bonds in the original Casino Royal. My favourite was Peter Sellers 😁

Not entirely seamless, but I applaud the effort. Sure would have been cool if Connery had done his own version of Casino Royale.
