Are you banging your head on a brick wall because you cannot understand the 49 processes in the PMBOK (project management body of knowledge guide)?
If that sounds like you, then you need to watch this video.
It is a very detailed video breaking down each one of the 49 processes into bare bones.
By the time you are done watching this video, you will understand exactly what every process does.
You will also have the opportunity to follow along with a blank piece of paper putting together this table.
I highly advise anyone who is taking the PMP exam to understand all the 49 processes and then always ask yourself what exactly you would do in an agile setting for those same processes.
Follow the instructions in the video and this will make everything crystal clear for you as far as predictive project management is concerned. This will help you solidly in the process section of the exam.

I passed my exam T, T & AT. I started studying for it on Wednesday and sat the exam on Friday. I had around 50hours to prepare and I studied for around 12hrs in total, I was already familiar with the Agile way of working but needed a refresher on Waterfall, I watched this video 2 hours before the exam and it was fresh on my mind when I sat the exam. Thank you so much.
Wow 😳 congratulations Dupe! 🎉👏👍👍👍
I have NEVER understood process groups/knowledge areas better! You made it look like ABCD... You are a natural! Thank you.
This video is amazing and the most helpful I’ve found for understanding the Knowledge Areas and Process Groups. I’m on about my 6th time watching this. Initially this was just word salad but now it’s starting to really flow in my mind. That’s my goal. Not memorization, that’s easy, but to make understanding second nature.
Glad to hear it is helping! Cheers!
I've bought some of the Udemy courses and the Study Hall. But after all I must say: You're the best teacher and the first one I'd love to go for a coffee with. Thanks my friend, and best regards from Austria.
Thank you Daniel! 😁 Best Wishes!
U r absolutely correct Mr. Daniel, same i experienced too,,,
Would you recommend study hall? I have done around 800-1000 other questions from udemy and youtube videos, including this channel(whick of fantastic). I am not sure at this point it makes sense to buy the study hall
This is the most practical and pragmatic method of teaching PMP. Thank you for your help.
Thank you 🙏 Glad you found it useful. 😁
Awesome Video!! all the 49 processes in a nutshell
Hello! I just passed my PMP exam today with AT/AT/T and just wanted to let you know that your videos contributed to my successful exam passing . Thank you so much ! Understanding PM mindset is a key!
That is awesome! CONGRATULATIONS! Was the exam more agile or predictive? or Hybrid?
@@Praizion I would say that a little bit of everything

You're very welcome 😁
This is super simple and helpful, it makes the process groups and knowledge areas easy to understand.
Glad it was helpful! Thanks!
This was an awesome delivery of the Process Groups and Knowledge Areas. It maskes so much sense. When I took my in person class, my professor did not make the distinction that the process group progression was not linear. Thank you for the bubble map description. Great content!! Thank you Phil.
Thank you Claudia! Best wishes in your studying 😊
Thanks for breaking it down !

@Praizion, I used your table and methodology as part of my prep for the PMP exam.
I passed 🎉
I fully agree with you. It’s not just about passing the exam, but getting equipped such that when leading projects we are aware of all the tools and equipment needed to do a great job. I am glad I invested all that time to truly get this.

brilliant

Good job thanks a lot

Hi Phill, thanks for all the information and knowledge yoi are sharing in the videos. Please can you share the link of the spreadsheet which include the agile as I don't find the video with the 49 agile spreadsheet.
Thanks Morne.
Hello Friend! Unfortunately, no idea where that sheet is. Making your own could be a worthwhile process. Sorry but my old laptop is no more. Also see: th-cam.com/video/h_fHelH7S8M/w-d-xo.html and also projectmanagementdoctor.com/phills-free-pmp-exam-cheat-sheet or this: www.uclaextension.edu/sites/default/files/pdf/UCLA-Extension-Project-Management-49processes.pdf
Your presentation is detailed and expository. I got better knowledge of the 5 Process Group and the 10 Knowledge Areas.
Awesome, thank you!
will PMBOK 6 guide work in passing the exam now? coz RITA still has not released PMBOK 7 training.
Yes Diago! PMBOK 6 and APG still pack a huge punch and are good for the exam even today!
Dear Phill regarding develop project management plan can we name it develop integrated project management plan? since it is a collection of all planning process
Dear Ali - PMI have not come out to say that but in the CAPM content outline, they mention an INTEGRATION management plan. I would say it is the same thing in essence.
Can you please share the link of the video that you have explained the incorporation into the agile perspective
Here is one of the videos Sherisha: th-cam.com/video/LQDZCqzLQo0/w-d-xo.html
I think there is one more. I will post when I find it! Cheers!
@@Praizion thank you so much
Do you have a pdf of what you showed at 44:14?
Unfortunately I am unable to locate the file. Best bet is a screenshot Eli. Cheers.
why you didnt use a excel sheet insted of drawing table and adjusting all the time
Good question. It would be faster and more precise - although I wish Zoom had tables. I bet they do now in the apps. I wanted to simulate using a whiteboard or paper as in the exam. Nothing like ORGANIC learning from some of us on a whiteboard. The doing of it and the manual process helps some people. I have other videos done with Excel.

th-cam.com/video/iyz7CcVe4P8/w-d-xo.html
great video but just open excel next time
Thank you for the suggestion. I have other videos with the same content in Excel but I change it up since some students benefit from this much more. For some students, seeing a handwritten table during a lecture can be more beneficial than an Excel spreadsheet for a few reasons:
Focus and Processing: The act of handwriting forces students to slow down and actively process information. This can lead to deeper comprehension compared to simply copying information electronically.
Engaging with the Material: Handwriting allows students to highlight key points, add personal notations, and create a more personalized learning experience. This engagement with the material can improve recall and understanding.
Not everyone learns the same way though. While handwriting might benefit some students, others might prefer Excel or typed notes or diagrams. The key is to find the method that works best for you!
@@Praizion this was more beneficial to me than boring ole excel. Also, thank you!
