What reason could the phantom have to be afraid of the moon rock?! None at all! So the very fact that I'm afraid of the moon rock means I'm not him! In fact, I'm on the side of... JUSTICE!
very bad excuse, just on the face of it, even if i havent played the game. he's clearly giving information not asked for. all he needed to do was provide an explanation for why he personally was afraid of the moon rock. he wasn't asked if he believed that the phantom was afraid of the moon rock, so trying to say that the phantom wouldnt be afraid of the moon rock in order to take suspiscion off himself is just drawing more unto him.
For a moment, I thought Apollo would be the "Final Boss" so to speak. I felt different emotions when cross examining him. Especially when he pulled the “Evidence is everything in court.”

I just finished Dual Destinies the yesterday I make this comment. And goddamn what an experience. This game is definitely up there with one of my favs and Turnabout to Tomorrow is legit contending for my favorite final case, if not my favorite case period. And this soundtrack is now my second favorite in the series. And this cross-examination theme is now my second favorite too. I thought it was ok at first but holy crap, did it grow on me. Intense, catchy, pleasing to the ears, threatening, everything. Fitting for the dark age of the law. I hear people say this is actually the weakest of the 3D games. If this was the weakest and that game was as good as it was, how good is Spirit of Justice about to be?
Have you played Spirit of Justice by now? I really enjoyed Dual Destinies, even if I personally put it in the middle of my Ace Attorney totem pole, but Spirit of Justice is definitely amazing and it's one of my favorites in the series. The level of feels that game gives you should be illegal...
@@Chosen_Din Tbh I find that kinda backwards. DD > SoJ. Mainly because SoJ falls prey to several REALLY annoying things that make it middle of the pack for me. DD is one of the best in an already great series.

Ok I don't wanna hijack this thread but here's a few reasons. 1) I can't stand Nahyuta. Worst rival prosecutor of the 6 main games. Possibly even the series overall as Sebastian Debeste has more development. I HATE religious extremism and maybe I'm biased here. But his attitude is awful and even Rayfa has more development in less screen time. 2) It retcon Apollo's backstory AGAIN. They can't decide anything for his past. At what point in game 4 or 5 did Apollo have ANY ties to a foreign country? It just feels painfully out of left field that he grew up partially in Khurain. I don't buy it. 3) drops the ball on Apollo and Trucy being revealed as siblings despite perfect opportunity in case 2 about Troupe Gramarye again. Apollo just feels like he doesn't belong to any Gramarye plot and it's ridiculous how long they put off this reveal. Also when the hell was Mr. Reus part of Troupe Gramarye? He's a good villain but that's another HUGE retcon to game 4 plot. 4) drops the ball on Athena. I know it's not her game, but Apollo was great in DD. Apollo is better in DD than in AJ. Meanwhile they forgot about Athena. She had some good moments and helped a lot in key Mood Matrix scenes. And I loved Turnabout Storyteller with Blackquill. But damn they really didn't care much about Athena. 5) Dhurke as a character is meh. We barely know him until case 5 and then the game acts like we should care more than I did. It felt emotionally manipulation tbh. I never cared about Dhurke or Nahyuta. So the game failed to make me care about 90% of Turnabout Revolution. 6) Garan is so cliche. Worst final villain. Quercus Alba might be super annoying but even he felt slightly more of a twist. Garan just screams I'm evil I'm evil! And that's not fun or unique. 7) the game handled Phoenix well IMO since half the game is with him (case 1 and 3). And Maya was ok too. But the game never really knew what it wanted. Apollo is only in 2 out of 5 cases yet people act like it's his game alone. Despite Phoenix doing more over the entire game. 8) Also I'm super tired of repeated plots. Maya is framed again. Maya is kidnapped again. Nahyuta is basically a worse Lana Skye and Blackquill except both are better and we JUST had Blackquill in game 5. 9) I also really hate spirit channeling as a recurring plot. To me, it breaks the charm of a quicky kangaroo court series. Subjective I know, but I also never really liked Maya much even tho I love Pearl. So I didn't care much about her return vs Pearl's return in DD. 10) I didn't like the new mechanic about divination seance. That's subjective obviously but it's in half the game sooooo. Rayfa herself grew on me as the game progressed tho, but I found her unbearable at first. So that made case 1 and 3 annoying on first run tbh 11) case 5 feels like it's trying so hard to kiss ass to Apollo. Nice job Apollo! You're amazing Apollo! Like dude. Other characters are allowed to get praise too. He wouldn't have beat Phoenix if Athena didn't help with the little girl in the wheelchair, yet they kiss Apollo's ass almost like he did everything and Athena did nothing. Kinda frustrating feeling like Apollo is teacher's pet And that's all off the top of my head lmao

Going through your points one by one: 1. I can definitely see why you don't like Nahyuta. He's your typical a-hole prosecutor for most of the game until the last case where he redeems himself (and even then it can definitely be a too-little - too late case for many people) Even then, I personally prefer him still to both Franziska and Klavier, but I can see why you don't like him so much. 2. I can see what you mean. Apollo's backstory started from almost non-existent in AJ to getting more and more info in each game. Personally, I don't really mind his extra backstory since I feel he always needed more of it in order for his character to stabd on its own. Besides, I wouldn't say it was retconed, since his AJ origins are still there, but it definitely feels that his Khurain origins were written for this game lol. 3. To be honest, I actually like that they him further and further away from the Gramaryes, because like I said previously, him having his own backstory rather than him being tied to the Gramaryes and Trucy allow his character to stand on its own. I DO agree that revealing to Apollo that he is Trucy's brother was quite the copout, especially since they teased it AGAIN at the very end of the game. 4. 100% agreed. Poor Athena can't properly get the spotlight because she's been sandwiched between Phoenix and Apollo, so the writers can't find the proper spot for her character to shine and develop (here's hoping AA7 focuses mainly on her). I also really liked Turnabout Storyteller, and Blackquill is the greatest thing in AA lol. 5. Even though we disagree in him being a meh character (I really liked him myself), I can understand why you think that. Like you said we only got to know him in the final case (although he was slightly built up before at least), and his character was written to be the most likable one ever (badass dad with a heart of gold that is also a bit clumsy, like who doesn't get attached to that lol. No to mention that him dying get brownie points for sympathy). I'd say they did a great job with Dhurke, but I can totally see why you didn't like him and felt emotionally manipulated by his character. (This is getting rather long so I'll continue in the next comment).

I saw the body lying there, dead. As i whent up I tried to call police, but my phone didn't work. I had to use the phone laing ther in the vitims desk. It was 8:30 when i call it in

I didn't know that the victim was dead at first, so I checked the victim by touching in the victims neck to check for pulse. But a quit check was enough to concluded that the victim was dead. I quicly started R&I and continued until the ambulance and police came to the place.
Fun fact this allegro testimony is the only one in the main line series that’s just a sped up and higher note version of Moderato while other allegro version go off the original song for a moment to do its own thing.
I get stuck a lot when the Allegro music plays (in any AA game). Most frustrating thing. I'M SO CLOSE BUT I CAN'T FIND ANY CONTRADICTIONS AND I'VE PRESSED EVERYTHING AND I'M JUST FLICKING HELPLESSLY THROUGH EACH STATEMENT LOOKING FOR A WAY OUT! **sobs heart out**
At least you get to listen to one of the best themes in each game for a little longer. (Seriously, every Cross-examination Allegro theme is at least in my top 5 for the game it comes from.)

That feeling when I hear this song starts playing is something I can't describe by mere words. I just feel I'm nearly getting the truth! My favorite cross-examination theme so far, but of course I like them all! :)
I really enjoyed the cross examination theme for Dual Destinies with one small exception - the Allegro seemed to lack that "little bit more" that each other allegro theme had. Kind like of a middle-eight bit.
A damn shame it dosn't have coda, but I still think Dual Destinies has hands-down the best Cross-examination theme, as much as I love the first one from PW:AA . :D

"i walked around..trying to find someone i knew, or knew papa, but i couldnt, so i got scared,," "i was getting scared..i wanted to find papa, but i met a nice lady, she offered to help me find papa." "we searched the entire ship, by coincedence ending up at the place where the ships burns stuff to go!" "after that..the nice lady decided she had important stuff to do..and..i didnt see her again until...*shudders*
....absolutely weird. Sorry about that two year long pause, it took some time to absorb it. I haven;t actually listened to the measures for that song, but listening to it again, wow. It's pretty insane.
+Professor Heavy Not to mention this one is not only in 7/4, but at the same time, the percussion starts playing in 4/4 at 0:22. You can even hear the drums pausing for a bit at 0:44, to "re-sync" with the leading instruments.
All right: I have a better perspective on this question now. While, metrically, it might be notated with more emphasis on beats 1 and 5, this piece would likely be written in 7/4, since that time signature would be far easier to read.
Yeah, that's what it appears to be. Quite an odd signature, and I thought the 5/4 from the Announce the Truth of the first investigations was bizarre...
Why doesn't dual destinies have a presto? Investigation 1 and 2 made it pretty damn clear presto makes everything sound a lot more better and serious, not to say the Allegro isn't bad though.
Rathalos Presto is only an Investigations thing, since it was a different team that made it. though it does suck not having a presto in the Phoenix Wright trilogy

Great theme overall, but it's imo the weakest Allegro out of the main 6 games. It doesn't add on an extra verse like with every Allegro theme in other games, and instead adds more intensity and instruments: essentially a remixed Moderato
This is probably my least favourite cross examination theme. I haven't played apollo justice so maybe that's worse. (It's still an amazing theme though)

I love this theme, and all the Allegro themes. It makes you feel like you're on the hunt, you're circling your prey, and you're about to pounce.
I think this theme hit the hardest when cross examining Apollo during the final episode.

I didn't know that the victim was dead at first, so I checked the victim by touching in the victims neck to check for pulse. But a quit check was enough to concluded that the victim was dead. I quicly started R&I and continued until the ambulance and police came to the place.
Fun fact this allegro testimony is the only one in the main line series that’s just a sped up and higher note version of Moderato while other allegro version go off the original song for a moment to do its own thing.

I really enjoyed the cross examination theme for Dual Destinies with one small exception - the Allegro seemed to lack that "little bit more" that each other allegro theme had. Kind like of a middle-eight bit.
people say this is hard to hum along becasue of its rythm but i actually found this one to be one of the easiest songs to hum...

I haven;t actually listened to the measures for that song, but listening to it again, wow. It's pretty insane.
+Professor Heavy Not to mention this one is not only in 7/4, but at the same time, the percussion starts playing in 4/4 at 0:22. You can even hear the drums pausing for a bit at 0:44, to "re-sync" with the leading instruments.
All right: I have a better perspective on this question now. While, metrically, it might be notated with more emphasis on beats 1 and 5, this piece would likely be written in 7/4, since that time signature would be far easier to read.

Why doesn't dual destinies have a presto? Investigation 1 and 2 made it pretty damn clear presto makes everything sound a lot more better and serious, not to say the Allegro isn't bad though.
Rathalos Presto is only an Investigations thing, since it was a different team that made it. though it does suck not having a presto in the Phoenix Wright trilogy

Great theme overall, but it's imo the weakest Allegro out of the main 6 games. It doesn't add on an extra verse like with every Allegro theme in other games, and instead adds more intensity and instruments: essentially a remixed Moderato

This is probably my least favourite cross examination theme. I haven't played apollo justice so maybe that's worse. (It's still an amazing theme though)
