I used to be the same. However if you need to pull for a break with the fg knot, 95% of the time your line snaps at the hook. No need to keep tying a new leader on
I like putting in one half hitch after the wraps to hold the knot together, then pull on the knot to get the binding grip of the wraps and get the stretch out, then finish with rizuto if I have time and I'm going to be casting a lot, or finish with half hitches if I'm in a rush and there is a hot bite. Half hitches are fine, but you have to keep an eye on them if you're doing a lot of casting as they can move up the line and unravel the knot.
I slowed down the playback speed to understand this but watching it from a smartphone and having my 2hands on both main and leader line it's hard to follow this cuz I need to pause and play the video. This is very helpful tho.. It's just, I think I need a picture diagram than a video, sorry :(

Yes we salt water bream fish here in oz and the FG knott is popular bream don’t weigh more than 3 pounds they use 4 to 6 lb braid and 6 lb Fluro carbon mono

This tutorial is deceiving tho. Make sure that after the first half hitch that u do after u wrap the mono or fluoro, u need to pull the main line and the leader line supper tight (wear gloves). U need to pull until the braid is almost translucent. You will see a difference. The point of this knot is for the braided line to dig into the leader line and make almost like a screw or finger trap. That way it will never loosen on u while fishing.

@Emmanuel Goldstein I can only speak for my conditions. I'm from Germany and I'm fishing for Zander (very smiliar to walleye, but Zander get bigger) in the river Rhine. There are many sharp stones in the river and therefore I need to use a quite strong leader. I'm using 0,40mm fluorocarbon as leader. But I also need a throwing distance of 70+ meters sometime and therefore the main line can't be to thick. I'm using a 0,12mm braid line as main line with a strength of about 11kg (24lbs). So the leader is over three times the size of the main line and the double uni doesn't work so well. So I'm using the FG-Knot and it never broke

Just loop left and right 13 times and then tie granny knots until it doesn't slip when you pull the leader, then tie a few more, cut off the top of the mono, and tie a few more. Granted I've tied 1 one of these in my whole life but it seems to have worked. Doesn't look as pretty though
The next big innovation in line will be the elimination of knots between braid and fluorocarbon and use of a bonding agent and/or a small micro sleeve each line end can feed into and be sealed with heat or epoxy to bond the two lines together. People hate tying knots and a good engineer will put an end to the cumbersome knots. I am working on some innovations now to solve this problem..

Definitely the best line-to-leader knot there is, but I can't bring myself to use it because it's just so much slower to tie than the Alberto

You wrap the braid on flouro/leader
Braid is stronger, more abrasive resistance and flexible. Always use braid to wrap your leader for any knot

しっかり締めこんでいれば絶対にすっぽ抜けることはない。ただ、釣り場で早く投げたい一心で焦りながら組むと、しっかり締めたつもりでも締めこみが甘くなる可能性があるので、家で落ち着いて組んで行くほうが良いと思う。
