As the first official trailer for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 was shown to us on the Xbox Games Showcase today, we can finally relax and and think about all the locations that we have seen countless times, but are going to explore as if it's our first time once again. So in the meantime, you can traverse through some of the locations once more and maybe try to imagine, how they are going to look in the new and shiny (not really that new) Unreal Engine 4.
I just googled that. Man, the Zone looks amazing in the new engine! Now it is on the way for sure! Lets just hope it dose not get delayed. ps.: Anuuuuu Cheeeki Breeeeki iv Damke!
Strelok: Kill Strelok, finds out he's Strelok, tries to stop the people behind the scenes. Scar: Kill Strelok, kind of fucked that up, probably died in the process. Soldier: Spinny plane fall
Soldier boi: climax of the game is escorting other soldier bois and Strelok out of Pripyat against some Monolith dudes for 3 minutes. Still amazing lmao
Honestly my biggest gripe is the writing of the story. You could have done something with Strelok and made it interesting but they opted out of that for a poor rehash. I liked the Sun story well enough and the third story I haven’t finished so there’s that... but yeah, the first main story doesn’t have much to it and could use a rewrite.
I really wish there were more specific faction questlines for each other. Like having Clear Sky or the Ecologists try to investigate the ascendant Monolith, Mercs getting word of a potentially new funding source and competing with each other over it, Duty reorganizing itself after the death of it's major leadership, etc etc. It would make the faction choices and dynamic of them in the Zone so much more compelling and interesting, especially with something as nuts as Azazel Mode.
Anomaly is fucking amazing. I've put a lot of hours into it, and I'd say that Ironman (especially Ironman Azazel) really makes Stalker shine. It really puts it into context how fucking insanely dangerous the zone is, and it can make the game even more immersive than it already is. There's nothing quite like randomly coming across a bloodsucker, a chimera, a pseudogiant or a controller while playing Ironman. That shit is legitimately spooky, and it feels great when you manage to get out of dodgy situations alive, even if it does mean burning through a bunch of your supplies
Yeah I know how that feels. One time I was playing as Duty and had to go to the truck cemtenary to fetch some documents for the barman. So I was heading towards the stash coordinates marked in the map of my pda when a chimera just randomly walks across the road a good 20 meters in front of me. My first instinct was to run but it had already noticed me. I was no match for it's speed. I sent an entire mag worth of AK rounds it's way but in the heat of the moment my aim was less then precise. It leapt at me which I narrowly managed to avoid. It's recovery from the jump did however give me enough time to pull out the shot gun and start blasting shell after shell at it. The monstrosity finally fell over dead. After managing to calm down from the short but terrifying encounter I skinned the thing and headed back to base, deciding to call it a day. I kept one of its claws on my character as a sort of good luck charm and sold the other to the Colonel for good money. I spent the rest of the evening figuring out how the stove worked. I wanted the chimera meat for dinner.
@@indigo3032 In Azazel mode yes, since when you die you only randomly inhabit a new body and your saves don't get viped out like in Ironman. Otherwise no because with every new character the world also starts over from zero as well.

Anomaly is free, super easy to install, and awesome. I've played through Anomaly 1.5 (beta 3) a few times, and I am very satisfied. However, it still needs a few Addons (like environmental sounds and artifact balancing), so be sure to check for interesting compatible addons if you play it. Anomaly does lack much of the dynamic tension in the original story, so play the vanilla games (with bug and visual mods) first if you are not experienced. You could probably skip STALKER: Clear Sky (the middle one), and play it later if you are curious. STALKER is one of my favorite shooter games of all time, and I've been computer gaming since 1996. Even if STALKER 2 is really just a very improved STALKER 1, I'll be pleased.
@@CrzBonKerz21 It's highly customizable to your liking of tension and story versus raw combat. Just try it, trust me.... Customize it with some addons, whaddya' have to lose?
@@CrzBonKerz21 I only meant the original STALKER games are a bit more linear, so can manipulate the entire game as it progresses. For instance, in Shadow of Chernobyl, the number, types, and spawn locations for mutants actually changes for all areas as the game story progresses, but Anomaly is more open and so the areas one accesses because of the story progression determines the mutant variety. At least that's how it seems to me. In any case, anomaly is awesome and you've likely played it for yourself by now.

I love Anomaly. Its definitely the go to Stalker mod, for me anyway. As for Shadow Of Chernobyl, I played and finished it last year un-modded and I didn't get a single crash. I think the game benefits from being run on a decent modern pc.

4:10 I thought even the 'nilla games were like that. Also it's great to see a functional combination sight on the G36. Arsenal for ShoC (and any mod merged with it, including but not limited to my fave, Oblivion Lost 2010) also has functional combination sights on the G36 and the AUG A1 (aka StG.77). 7:22 I want to eat a FLESHPIG's bulging eyeball! No! Better yet! I want to shove a FLESHPIG's bulging eyeball into my brain so I can transform into a PUMPKIN CLOWN with spider legs and a proboscis a go go! XD 9:19 5.45 doesn't kick that much. 9:26 They really screwed up ALL pump-action shotguns in this mod. Only a rookie greenhorn noobstick works a trombone gun like that! And why so many stockless pistol grips? That's for gangstas, not zoners. Only a chump would put a stockless pistol grip on a shotgun that already has rifle sights. And only a chump would use slugs or darts in a stockless shotgun. 9:55 An AEK-971 right next to a PP-19 Bizon! I'd totally use that combo! I'd put a GP-25 on the AEK-971 and a sound suppressor on the Bizon. 10:42 Let me guess. You can't dodge pseudostomps like in ShoC. That's so lame! Why haven't modders figured out that it makes perfect sense to be able to dodge pseudostomps by jumping in the air at just the right time! ShoC did it right. CoP and Clear Sky did it wrong. It makes no sense that a physical vibration that travels through the ground, floor, walls, etc., should be able to affect you while you're in the air. You'd still feel the force of it, but it wouldn't jar you around. Battling pseudogiants toe-to-toe is just plain fun, but it's only possible if you can dodge pseudostomps. Otherwise, you're forced to use cheap (but realistic) tactics like mortaring them from a distance with 40-mils. 10:51 Why not have your character simply press the bolt release? The inconsistency of that really irks me in this mod. You press the bolt release during the reload animation with the SG550, but not with Stoner-based rifles like the HK416. Just make it consistent! Otherwise, it's an insult to the player's intelligence - but not as big an insult as iron sights that don't line up right which seemed to be a downright trope in the early 2000s and even as far as 2012 with Borderlands 2. Also, the hyper-exaggerated pump animation with ALL pump-action shotguns also counts as an insult to the player's intelligence. If you wanna see how to do it right, just watch some Paul Harrell videos.
@@ChadVulpes If they like recoil so much, they can just have a broader range of calibers, then they don't have to make stuff look over-exaggerated a go go.
Ive been waiting for a while for a near comprehensive (and comedic) review of Anomaly like this to show my friends to get them interested. You certainly got my sub now.
I found out about Anomaly, but I have a giant backlog of games to play, so I decided to download it and play it in the future. I finished the installation and tried it to see if it worked. I created a character and walked around. Quit the game. I couldn't stop thinking about it. As soon as I was done with my job I started it up and 4 hours flied past. I don't even think about my backlog anymore
Yeah, most misery and call of chernobyl features transitioned into anomaly. It's more like a logical continuation of those mods, or even a spiritual successor.
C&C Remastered is Out, Halo 3 is coming to PC soon, the Nether update is out for Minecraft, and now I see this...yeah I'll be in my room for the next 3 years if you need me.
Anomaly isn't bad but is a soup mod combining multiple contents to the point that the soup bowl is too full. It's like they don't know when to stop for 'immersion purposes'. It makes simple tasks tedious like batteries for flashlight or the PDA. The crafting system is bloated with too many items and recipes for the most basic needs along with too much clutter items. It adds too much for too little changes as a literal soup version of CoC. The video is good though, but I don't think it's the way to play the game until STALKER 2 comes out.
Thanks for the heads up. Honestly I just want to play with pure visual mods. UI, weather, flora, landscape, architecture, weapons, NPC etc. Model, texture, and sound improvements are enough for me. Bogging down everything with batteries and even broken stuff or a dozen variants of a single weapon is definitely over the top as you stated.
I actually do that, because there are so many weapons and armors in the game that when you start getting renown with a faction the trader basically has a fully equipped armory for you to browse and it kinda ruins immersion. I'll try playing with more punishing progression modifiers in my next playthrough
I didnt want to ruin 420 comments but i must say. Thank you so much stalker, my game is 50x more IMMERSIVE than ever before. Mod db even has a little shoutout to you:D

"5.45 doesn't kick that much."

@@ChadVulpes If they like recoil so much, they can just have a broader range of calibers, then they don't have to make stuff look over-exaggerated a go go.
@@judsongaiden9878 I actually agree with you. I was just being silly.
@@ChadVulpes I figured that. I wanna see the Vz.58 in more Zone mods!
Ive been waiting for a while for a near comprehensive (and comedic) review of Anomaly like this to show my friends to get them interested. You certainly got my sub now.
Very well put together video my guy!
Anomaly: Who are you?!
A.R.E.A.: I'am you but Soulslike!
S.T.A.L.K.E.R Anomaly is like a Revival to the game series and a whole different game in one package
this video was cool AND epic
actually humorous and informative video, great job
Major Degtayrev wasn''t actually just there for the helicopters tho, he was there to investigate where there soldiers went as well
I found out about Anomaly, but I have a giant backlog of games to play, so I decided to download it and play it in the future. I finished the installation and tried it to see if it worked. I created a character and walked around. Quit the game.
I couldn't stop thinking about it. As soon as I was done with my job I started it up and 4 hours flied past. I don't even think about my backlog anymore
Anomaly is AMAZING ! Anyone who has not played it is missing out Massively
Lol Azazel? You guys gotta watch the Denzel Washington flick Fallen to get that reference!
Liked just for the l85 jamming. Funny, in cop, its actually pretty good if you use it as a dmr.
I feel like anomaly is a kind of Misery Mod 2.5, half the features were in Misery first.
Yeah, most misery and call of chernobyl features transitioned into anomaly. It's more like a logical continuation of those mods, or even a spiritual successor.
I'm enjoying Anomaly, its like all 3 games into 1 and stable. It really will rise up the bar for Stalker 2.
To add to guns in stalker anomaly people usually end using one weapon that fit them well
Дробовик
I was looking for this mod for some time now, i will give i try soon thanks for the good mews

Why is the Miracle machine and Brain Scorcher turned on? I thought marked one disabled those in SoC?
Great video paul!
this looks op af! i haven't even heard of it till recently!
2:08 that doge patch lmao
If only the Cluster Charge was in this game. Even the Monolith would fear you (and the couriers you’re supposed to rescue).
C&C Remastered is Out, Halo 3 is coming to PC soon, the Nether update is out for Minecraft, and now I see this...yeah I'll be in my room for the next 3 years if you need me.
Playing Anomaly right now, and once I modded a few things, I'm really enjoying it.
Bogging down everything with batteries and even broken stuff or a dozen variants of a single weapon is definitely over the top as you stated.
yea this just looks like an overly complicated version of coc but premoded.
only that you cant simply remove the parts you dont want.
you deserve more subscribers. Great video !
S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 TRAILER came up, we can say that Palpatine was prove wrong
seems like just about everyone these days has it out for strelok, even himself. poor guy just cant catch a break.
It's easy to see that Misery was the mother of all Stalker mods out there nowadays.
It's a shame that the devs decided to work on a visual novel instead
amazing video buddy!
I never allow myself to purchase weapons or upgrades. It's more fun and involving to fix up the weapons you find.
I played stalker in 2012 and from then i am a fan of stalker
new trailer!!!! how about we celebrate with another review of a stalker mod? or an experience of games clearly inspired by the saga? Please tell me you're cooking something. We need you back in the game.
Good explanation.
Stalker 2 just announced 🎉🎉🎉
Immersive.
So this is 64 bit call of misery without piss visuals and better optimisation?
Whoever chose the color scheme for the HUD needs a stern talking to...
I love free 2 play STAND ALONE Mods! Going to download it now!
I am new to stalker games. Now i finished CS and now i am playing CoP. Which mod (highly recommended from others) should i play?
Not Dead Yet! I just bought all of them on the summer sale and in really getting into the Gane
Thanks, sounds good!
What area was that area at the end with three pseudogiants? Would like to know so I DONT go there
It's called "The Generators", one of the cut locations from the original SoC. Don't worry, it's near the CPP, so you won't just wander in there.
