Thank you for you video! I don’t know much about cars and I received both warnings on my dash about the auxiliary battery and the stop vehicle notification 😅 but you video helped answer my questions!
My warning for the auxiliary battery read: "Auxiliary Battery Malfunction"...more of a voltage regulator (had 4 capacitors, one burned out). Fairly easy to change. I appreciate all your videos, you've saved me money.

@@MStar10 hey! I took it in to the Mercedes Benz dealership to get it checked out, they did a full systems check and found that my battery was just running low. So they replaced with a new battery and I haven’t had and issues since!

Thanks for the advice how to measure the battery. It was tested yester at the auto store and checked out ok, but it was connected to terminals. +100k, 2015 original battery from MB in the car.... It comes just around the 7Y mark.

I had this warning this morning when I started my vehicle, my 2016 GLC has never had a battery change and it sat out on a cold driveway last night. This was helpful, but I didn't know about the aux battery. I will take it and have the battery disconnected and checked. Thank you.

Same not sure if it was my Aux battery but recommend replacing the Aux battery first before or after replacing the main car battery had my eco off feature still not working
ey man. My 2017 E300 stop car leave engine running light has been on several months. And this morning while I was driving it went to right then turned off. I’m currently at PepBoys getting it checked out. Do you think that is just battery? Or alternator as well? I’m worried! MB told me I needed new battery two weeks ago but car was starting just fine so I kept driving…. Thanks man

Great video! However, a few people have asked if we can purchase a battery from somewhere other than Mercedes and no one has answered. Will someone please recommend a none OEM battery I can buy for my 2019 mb c300?
U probably done but for everyone who is Wondering: yes, you can use non OEM battery. I recommend to replace with the same type and same Amps, this way no need to reprogram. Ok?

We changed our battery out on our 2015 Mercedes c300 base model, and now while driving when we come to a stop in traffic with foot on battery the car shuts off, when we take our foot off the brake it cranks by itself and drives fine until we have to stop again. Do you have any advice on what has happened?
Yes. You have to deactivate the Auto Stop feature. On center console, behind the track pad on left side. It will always be illuminated green upon starting the vehicle. It will always be on unless you press the button to turn it off.
I took apart the Aux "Battery" and it ends up being basically four super capacitors (2.7v 50F) on a semi complicated circuit board with three leads.
I have the "Stop Vehicle, Leave Engine Running on my dashboard but this is the only message that's there. I have left the car running and it's still there. Previously when I did it, it went off for a while but came back up. Do I just have the auto part store check my battery?
I have currently the same problem. Have you had yours fixed and how? My battery shows fine and alternator is charging fine too so I’m just confused.
What does it means if I have this problem plus the car turning off while running?
Mine told me it on cold start 1 time I drove and turned it off and turned it on and it went away , any tips ?

oh shit i shoudl have seen your video earlier, i changed my auxiliary battery instead of the main battery, now the warning come up again. 😅
I have the same problem since 2 weeks ago, even I drove for 2 hours, it was still there. Sometimes the warning just gone and it still back randomly. Since it's been almost 6 years, so I thought it's time to change the battery. Yesterday I used a multimeter to check the battery(ignition off, just unlock the car then release the hood to open)it shows 12.65V DC, that's no bad right? So it's not the battery's problem and also it's not alternator's problem, otherwise since the problem happened 2 weeks ago, the battery will out of power. So still confused me. BTW my auxiliary battery(actually it's a capacitor at the passenger side) got malfunction and auto star/stop didn't work in Dec/2020 and my car was still under warranty, went to the dealer got the new one, but after that. The auto star/stop still didn't work until now. I just thought maybe the dealer turned off the function and I live in suburb so I hate it, every time after I star the car, I'll turn it off manually. Now I realized that was not dealer turn the function off, maybe it has problem... Drive me crazy now.

@@nikobellik4164 I ended up replace the main battery, then nothing wrong with it anymore. So it's a bug, the MB computer system should show us" main battery" issue ,but not other info to confusing us, lol....
I had the same message. I have not changed the battery yet. I followed the message from the instrument cluster and left the car running for 45min. After, I decided to drive. The message was still there but after reaching my distination I switched off the engine and then back on again - the message went. Every couple of days, I started the car and left it for running for 30min- I had no message. This could be another way of alternative to fix this or if the message appears again even after running the engine and driving the car for a while then suggested like on the video is to replace the battery. I'll monitor mine for another week - drive and let the engine run for 45min every couple of days. That's right it should not be the auxiliary battery. If it was then, the auxiliary battery message will pop up.
thats what i was thinking as well im currently waiting the 45 minutes then im going to shut it off then back on and try doing that over the next week or so and see if the message still pops up😊
Can I keep driving it with this message - i have to use the car...just want to make sure nothing serious will happen. I assume if it doesnt start one day then the battery is gone..but wont have any issues if Im driving and all seems fine? pls confirm....the garages are booked for weeks :(
Yes, drive the car as usual. If it is the battery, it may not start. An auto parts store can put a new battery in it for you if necessary. It does not need to go to a garage.

Mine is not saying any warning but my start stop not working car slow to start . Took to car shop they said battery is good 14.8 had me replace the alternator but car is slow to start and start to stop not working still they keep saying you got a battery but guess what no one disconnect the battery. My old battery died out due to a leak for some reason . So I replaced it with a new one. And this error comes up. I’ve left it running for over a hour, the error still won’t go away

5 year battery kind of already gave out the answer since most automobile battery needs to be replaced after 4 - 5 years, while very few can last up to 7 years and it will died completely.
