Hi, I'm sure you have to test the battery while removed from the car because the auxiliary battery will interfere with the test. Yes it was the battery but I'm sure you could have a "faulty battey" tested when disconnected and tested 😊
Long video short: Replace the old battery will mostly fix the B1F4500 code since automobile batteries need to be replaced every 4 - 5 years, while some battery might last 7 years before it really died on you. So B1F4500 code is just a warning that the battery is almost due for a change.
Question can the acid level be checked and add more distilled water. I am in Arizona and it get super hot, especially the engine compartment. It is around 3.5 years old car bought it new. So thinking the original battery should last longer than this so thinking of checking the acid level. Any thoughts any one
I'm getting the same message (the first one anyway) but the car always starts normally. My battery is 5 years old. If I change it, do I really need to have a mechanic program the new one?
Had same message (Start Engine see owner manual) Replaced battery with new AGM battery, after 2 weeks again same message and after checking battery it is flat... what is draining battery? 🤔 I dis not code battery.
@@user-wx3oc4kj7y I took it back where I bought car, they also had garage and machanic asked if I coded battery when I was changing it? I said no, he said you MUST code , and that is what he did. It's same with BMW's when you replace battery you must code it, very quick procedure but it must be done. No problems since. 😉
Stop start vehicles can use AGM or EFB. in fact EFB was designed to bring the expensive cost down of AGM batteries and now most vehicles come with EFB from factory instead of AGM.

Original battery was agm type and you replaced with efb. Will car systems react ok with different battery?
