- We are trying make the most of this weekend despite the circumstances, so we’d like to welcome you to join us Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights at 8PM ET for three consecutive free full show TH-cam premieres! Friday we will relive the magic of Kansas City from 11/17/21. Saturday we have our surprise 3 set show from our second night in NYC on 10/9/21. Sunday we pull the curtain back in Atlanta with 11/7/21. Lastly thank you all for the overwhelming support regarding the postponement of Goosemas, we couldn’t be more grateful to be a part of such a thoughtful and kindhearted community.

I saw my share of Dead, lots of Phish from 90-94, and even more Panic from 97 to 02. Goose is fantastic. Easily more developed at the stage of their career than any of them (particularly when it comes to logistics). Still, I think it's a tough comparison. The Dead were creating a new form as they went. Each of their first 10 years was such an evolution, it was as if they were different bands. The groups that came after refined different aspects of the concert experience to, arguably, higher levels than the Dead. Goose may be a step further still. They are so young and have so much talent combined with professionalism, it boggles the mind. Still, I don't know if they will blaze a trail in/for live rock music like GD. Obviously, I don't mean it as a putdown. I think we all stand on the shoulders of those that came before. I think Goose will be Goose and it will be wonderful. I'm less certain that they will fundamentally change the relationship between band and audience in a fundamental way as GD did. Anyway...too long chatting after my 13 hr graveyard shift but, in closing.... Goooooosssssseeee
Agreed... My first dead show was 10-20-1989 and your analogy could not be more spot on. This was my first Goose show and it was a blast. Goose are like a taste of the past and a taste of the present.
@@joshevans3452 man I really appreciate all the history there. Really amazing to hear from someone with so much experience. I'll say straight away that while I love the Dead I've never cared for their jams much outside a few here and there. But they paved the way for this scene and that's always gonna be amazing. They also were one of my biggest inspirations to become a musician when I was 13 years old in the early 90s (the VH1 Behind The Music). Phish has been my favorite band for almost 25 years, but they are pretty disappointing at times the last 6-7 years or so. I can't figure out what's up with Treys playing. I don't know if he has arthritis or what's going on, but it's unreal that a guy who at one time played with such speed, accuracy, and creativity can sound worse than a dude at one of the local bars here at times. Their shows from 92-98 are absolute madness with 94 being the best imho (for anyone who doesn't know go visit Phish's 93-94 live shows and be prepared to have your head explode). And now we have Goose who I really think is best compared to Phish jam-wise simply because their tension and release and dark jams are otherworldly and only Phish has really ever done that to such a degree with such face melting jamming. Their songs are pretty unique. You could compare them to Moe. Or WSP song songwriting, but I think they are totally unique and bring their own flare and use of harmonies and even auto tune at times (which is tastefully used). Either way I haven't been this excited about a band since I discovered Lettuce 8 years ago. I'm just so happy to see someone finally truly carrying the torch as, what I believe, is the next great JamBand. GOOOOOOSSSEEEEE!!!

Goose has a lot to be thankful for. They have come along way since the Cambridge show. They got sound, lights, and were able to build their flock. $$ talks and they invested wisely. Lots to look forward to. The Stow shows were out of this world. Keep it up and thanks for continuing to share the positive shows.
Under-rated section of White Lights through Rock the Casbah... This is EXACTLY what I would want in a first-of-three set. Some exploratory jamming with patience, multiple themes, a couple really solid peaks, a well-executed cover... just lays the groundwork for the rest of the night perfectly. Well done boys!

Great band but I wish my life didn't suck so much ass.
You're creating your life, so decide what you want and make small changes. One good small change is in perspective. Work to be grateful for what you have. If you practice feeling grateful, you will see you have a lot to be happy about. The brain needs to get retrained to focus on the good is all. Negative thoughts lead to feeling shitty about life. Work on monitoring your thoughts.
Skinny GD tour rat almost got his bell rung last night telling my friends and I Goose was a bunch of posers. Instead we spent the rest of the night shouting Goose over our local GD cover band...Lol..Good times were had and no worms were injured .
So a new jam band comes around that exceeds talent, creativity and originality of any other band around right now and they are considered posers?! Get the F outta here. Long live Goose.
The idea that anything they do approaches the Live Dead Dark Star is sacrilege in its rawest form. I have now spent hours listening to their shows on YT and cannot find anything compelling about what they do. It all seems like painfully derivative of Phish without any of the virtuosity, or the dead-seriousness of Phish's best stuff. I can see how if you were in the band Goose what a thrill it would be to play this music. But as a listener, I find absolutely nothing interesting in it.
Great show of course, but that looks like a shit venue.
