- Feedback Ted and his fellow low-impact ledge lords do a lot with a little on their crusty Upper West Side monument. This is curb culture at its classiest.

Love skate edits that focus on the one spot , everyone becomes attached to their favorite skate spots 🌀☯️🌍
The music selection on this really hit the spot for me. Thanks.
The 20 minute video you didn’t know you wanted to see.
Literally I pushed this video off until I heard ted barrow in it, & I feel he is the skater you need to see skate
dude everyone rips but when suciu enters the scene its a whole other level
this video so beautifully captures the artistic and sensory impulses of inner city skateboarding, the roughness of the concrete ground coupled with the sounds of police sirens is so reminiscent of many large cities. The sound of rolling over those cracks echoes in your mind, the mundaneness of the spot becomes so beautifully detailed as captured by Greg in this video. Skateboarding is art bro. The music is OP btw.
Relax dawg hahahahaa tf are you taking about
@@Littleweenaman this video was very relaxing - so done :) read more kiddo, sorry you can't understand.
Yo this is incredibly rad and I’m jealous we don’t have a scene like this in Atlanta. Big upsss!!
I’m super grateful to live in NYC and love the scene! I have fam in ATL and skate there sometimes! Much love!
@@dannyarensberg1015 one love
Where in Atl u live? I'm in lawrenceville area
@@warman167 word! Midtown
Greg Navarro delivers! Immaculate filming and editing!
Finally a video that makes me feel like I’m good at skating
@@davidpowers69 I’m not knocking there skateboarding I love watching videos that I can relate to it’s more fun than watching joslin big spin a 17 stair
@@Jonathan-jq5cl my bad bro
damn as good as mark suciu?
@@jamesfru118 no, i wish, Mark should of been 2019 soty
@@Jonathan-jq5cl Surely he is coming out with something nuts this year
So rad !!! I see these spots all the time in NYC
What a love letter to skateboarding.
beautiful video. love the quick cuts of spot scenery and things scattered in the middle of clips
I learned to skate at this monument. Greg is a legend
Wow! ♥️
This has me in my feels. Loved every second of it
the cinematography/editing in this video was eveything great job
Thanks Pedro!
This sent me straight to sleep, but in a good way. Having nice dreams of skate.
U must be SLEEP typing
Fantastic video - well done Greg Navarro!
God I love my neighborhood. Glad to see it’s getting some love... and the parts in this were sick af too. Crazy to see Ted and lurker Lou again. What a cool video.
UWS; Sleepiest corner of Manhattan.
20 minutes of people throwing themselves down stairs is exhausting. 20 minutes of this is refreshing.
I love videos filmed at one spot. Like Bobby Worrest did with Pulaski, but it doesn't have to be a legendary spot like that to be awesome. I remember growing up there was a high school a town over with the funnest steps anyone has ever skated. We made a DIY that must have had a hundred feet worth of incredibly awesome curbs with a few cinder block ledges and a perfect flatbar we made with the thin blocks on their sides and a square rail that fit perfectly on top...so fun
This was the spot! The ground was not as nice back in the day tho. Everyone would skate the top but it looks closed now.
What’s at the top?
Perfect sunday morning vid
just skated here again yesterday. always a good time
hill bomb ender is literally a genius way to end a video if you make something like this, thats just all about the love and that FEELING. great work seriously
i don't get it. it looked pretty mellow, why was it their suicide hill?
@@chinesefoodbong the man said he skated "little boards" my guess is he grew up skating that in the 60s/70s, that thing on clay wheels and a board with like a 8 inch wheelbase is suicide, especially when you are a young kid.
@@chinesefoodbong We recreated the scene from the movie "Death Bowl to Downtown" by Six Stair for Andy Kessler who skated here back in the day. It was a tribute to him since he passed away. And that hill is crazy if you see it in person haha!
@@gregpnavarro awesome, thanks for the context. I'll have to check it out
Amazing video! Love seeing natural style and sick tricks. Really hyped up to skate damn. Thanks for the video🔥🤙
I’m moving back to NYC this year and I just learned curbs soooooo.... I’m going to be a very happy guy soon.
very purposefully put together video! great job to the whole crew and to the filmer!
1:26 jazz nerds watching this video gonna have flashbacks right here
T H E L I C C
WHY
i had flashbacks and don´t know why
Ah, the L I C C
omgggggggg hahahahaha
i lived 2 years in NYC what an amazing city, i absolutely love NYC
Love that hey arnold song for a part sick.
Skate spot in this video so epic with jazz song
Don't you guys know that skateboarding is about grinding the world's biggest handrails!??! Sheesh
Jazz in skateboarding. Always nice
Amazing Job on the filming and editing.
Loved all of that, everything about it....used to live on the upper west side too....miss NY
I came here before I didn’t have my board on me I saw 3 kids practicing their nollie flips and I asked one of them for their board and I missed a kickflip because I didn’t have my skate shoes but I landed a nollie shuv, I’m a little older now and I still suck at kickflips
Miles Cohoe’s song is 100% from Hey Arnold. Great skating.
Herbie wrote the Hey Arnold theme. Unless I’m misinformed.
@@-solidsnake- wasn’t it Jim Lang who scored Hey Arnold? My research only goes as deep as a google search but that was my understanding.
Wonderful. Love the jazz xx
that hey arnold song was so perfect great video
Song at 9:09 took me through a quick music lesson... cover of curtis mayfield's hit soul track "move on up" The main riff was so familiar... finally figured out Kanye sampled it in "Touch the Sky," the first huge song introducing lupe fiasco to the mainstream
That version of 'Move On Up' rules.
Really enjoyed this. True skateboarding
Thank you Greg
Thanks Dom!
This video is just breath taking
concept videos are the best thanks fellas
feedback_ts reviewed one of my skating clips on insta back when he was doin that regularly. funny ass dude
Everything I want in a skate vid, real NY, jazz, culture, Steeze skater, wish Jason lee was in this
I could barely CURB my enthusiasm
This video will inspire me to do great things
Now that is a couple good ledges on some awful ground. those steps and curbs look fun as hell. Wonder how long those ledges have been skated. Every now and then here in the Midwest I'll see a spot we skated ten years earlier brand new and the weather's made the ground nearly unskatable
the vid almost makes nyc rent look affordable. almost
haha
that’s what i thought!! hahaha
flashbacks of the first Stereo skate video. with that said 14:10, fronside flip into a switch crooks, very difficult to do even on a lowly curb
do you mean 14:10?
@@wakenbake. haha, good catch, good thing YT has an edit button :)
amazing filming every single clip
Cool skatin', cool jazz, cool images ♥️
Please tell me that cover of Move on up was put in ironically.
It was fully ironically intentional.
@@gregpnavarro I'm not sure I got the intentional irony (got theories), but I'm glad you guys got ears. Some of those notes had me jump to the ceiling, bite my tongue off and then jump out the window after I set my computer on fire. Everything else about the video was rad as fuck and made me want to go skate all the more.
@@petematic It was one take attempt at the song. The band never played it before. I guess you could say it was all done for fun. Plus free :)
i wish there will be more videos with that jazz vibe. Can someone give advice what to watch?

I don't know why I enjoyed this. But I did.
Damn, this video was beautiful!
Well done UWS young bucks
Thanks Eli!
Great vibe amazing piece 💯
I'll watch anything with Ted Barrow and Miles Cohoe in it.
@Ricky Flores Miles Cohoe is insane. He does not have an Instagram. I had to put him on the map for this video. We grew up skating this spot at 10 years old. We've been waxing those curbs for over a decade. I will let him know you appreciate his talent. Thanks Ricky.
I wish there were cool street spots where I lived
Def are some just gotta find em 😉
pfffft! where _you_ livin’ bruh?
_...on the internet too much for starters..._
@@MichaelandIkle yea true, just go on google maps, schools especially high schools and colleges are rlly good, i just found an 8 stair im gonna hit this weekend!
just grab some wax and find the nearest curb dude
Def is!! But is there a scene of ppl that are down to actually hit the streets?
lovely video, i wanna skate now
this is special because it reflects how neighborhoods have their own respective flavors. i feel like the upper west side always had its own little scene, kids that went to private school but hated it and ended up at like, bard. still shredders, but it was necessarily different from downtown kids... maybe more levity or lightness idk. anyways the jazz and the slappies and the fall leaves kinda took me back to skating around the natural history museum and taking the 1/9 back downtown, belly full of greys papaya. glad kids are still into that and that some things don't change. one love
This was like every video me and my crew recorded in the early 90’s. we thought we were pros on our 8” curbs. Lol
and you were
@@siker78 in our minds perhaps. Actually wish I could go back. Older adulting is not as fun as slappies lol
This vid was sick af, different but not too much to the point where it’s boring.
I love the editing!!
Spot looks so fun what street is that On 70 somthing and what?
It gets serious when the Hey Arnold end theme kicks in at 10:57
suuuuper great video
Amazing video! Greg Navarro is the fucking man!! Congratulations to everyone
